For the most part, I do not open my collectibles.  Yep.  I’m THAT guy.  Here are some of my favorites.

Challenge 3:

 

Well I’d just taken some photos of some things I’ve liked and saw the last reply about games and that meant I had to do another.

 

I’ll start with it too as it’s one of my absolute favourite things I own.  
 

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Soldier 1st Class Edition which includes a Steelbook too so is relevant.  The metal buster sword wasn’t part of this set but I display it with it so added it in.  It’s made up of 10 different separate smaller swords built together.

 

 

 

 

Next up I’m going with this Grease Release that came with a sheet of magnetic “stickers” to put on the locker Steelbook if you wanted.  Some might say it’s not a premium but the steel itself is way better than some premiums that have come out.

 

 

Lastly I’ll throw in the Derry map from Cinemuseums IT.  Helps as I don’t have too many unsealed!

Challenge #3:

 

It has been difficult to make a selection. There are extras that are really good, and I couldn't include them all; in fact, I would repeat a few that have already been contributed.

 

For this reason, I put here three extras that, in addition to being considered valuable, have something special for me.

 

1. Paterson (Plain Archive)

 

I've always really liked the editions of the Plain Archive, but having some in my hands again when selecting and taking photos for this challenge, it's impossible not to be amazed at how good they were, how good they are. It is pure good taste.

 

In this case, there can be nothing more appropriate for "Paterson" than the pencil with which he wrote his poems; or in addition, even the booklet, or that pretty pin.

 

 

2. Twin Peaks - The Entire Mistery (Paramount)

 

It's incredible that a major has made a special edition so special; so collector's.

 

Go lifting each flap, with a disc, or the next "onion paper", one and another, so elegant, so suitable, until you reach the end of the box, and then... find that paper, so special for anyone who has reached the end of the series, and has seen the movie.

Yes, the extra is just a piece of paper, but it means so much, and putting it there, hidden, in its own place, written with "blood", is so fascinating, that it's one of my favorites.

 

 

 

3. The curious case of Benjamin Button (MLIFE)

 

Yes, MLIFE, like WCL and UHD Club, stand out powerfully in the extras they give us collectors. I could put the ones from "The sting", or "Roman Holiday", "Interstellar", or others. But I put this one here because it's so connected to the movie, to the plot, to the objects that drive the characters, that I love being able to take these envelopes in my hands and touch them. Remember the film.

Challenge 3

 

I’m really not someone who cares about the extras. I’m really only here for a sweet steelbook and a fabulous Fullslip in the main. The rest is just needless filler to jack up the price IMHO. To that end, it’s actually hard for myself to come up with 3 items that I cherish. I have a dusty old shoebox under the bed with key chains, magnets, stickers and even wristbands that came with releases. 
 

That said, I have managed to come up with 3 to meet the challenge (Thank you btw @GuyIncognit0 👍🏼) and yes, it’s all Marvel related. Shock Horror, I know. 😂

 

First up is the “invite only” holo foil magnets from Ksosk. Whilst I do not display these, they do have a place in my heart as being MP GB specific, and I fully appreciate the time and efforts in getting these designed, produced and shipped globally. Nice pieces to hold with my MP swag.

 

 

Next up are some old relics… What ever happened to PET slips huh?! At one stage I wanted to collect these as well. I have more somewhere, but I particularly like the Ant-man and Strange ones.

 

 

And lastly, again a Huge Thank you to @ksosk for these Beautiful Civil War cards (There are 10 but 9 makes a nicer image 😂). I honestly just Love these and plan to one day frame them and hang in either my office or my gym. I am sure I may be wrong, but to my knowledge these are the first items that the mighty Ksosk pulled together for some of us psychos. I can’t recall which Civil War GB it was for now, but they were a simply awesome surprise. Love them.

Bonjour à tous. 
 

Le niveau s’élève au fil des challenges 😅. Je vais essayer de participer avec le peu « d’EXTRAS » que j’ai en ma possession. N’hésitez pas à me dire si je suis vraiment hors sujet.
Vraiment dommage que je n’ai pas encore reçu le chat noir qui devait être livré en même temps que mon OC Matrix Mantalab (que je mets quand même en photo) dû à un problème chez Mantalab. 
J’espère que ce type de Challenge ressortira un jour afin que je puisse exposer le coffret Jurassic Parc UHD avec le crâne du T-Rex en bois (qu’il me tarde de recevoir).

I prefer Cinemuseum's extras over most, but I'll show some diversity in my photos.

 

1. Assault on Precinct 13 : CME 01 - Gold Coin. 

Great movie and the coin itself is high quality, came in a coin holder and everything. I like coins in general (as you can tell from MP coins) so these was an easy first.

 

Next up are the metal numbering cards included with UHD releases.

2. Jaws and ET UHD Club - very nice cards and have the MP logo on them, win win

 

Last up is a release from Gunpowder & Sky

3. Prospect GS-001 - collectible movie photo cards. 

A cool extra in a sealed foil pack with see through window.

I was able to solve this challenge but if I'm honest I'm not so deep into all these extra "bling bling". Yes, many of them are great, stylish and unique with high quality but I have not the space to present all this stuff so I'm more interested in a well done Steelbook, also with a slip. I prefer Fullslips.

No.1: Rambo Collection - The Grenade Limited Edition

My first choice because I searched for this one for a long long time and I managed it to fetch a "used one" in the last days for a fair price. Normally this one is not payable because OOP, OOS...out of everything. 😄 It's just plastic but only the idea of making a grenade as "package" for a Rambo Edition is briliant. 😄

1. Manta Matrix Resurrections cat:

-One of the first trinkets from Manta lab.  The cat looks great, and the box it came in is pretty cool as well, not sure whether I will open it or not as looks good in that box.

 

2. Blufans Dr. Strange transparent green collector card:

-It is just a pretty unique addition to to this set that Blufans added.  Definitely gives the edition some extra flare.

 

3. TOC Casino Royale pin

-It is from a Bond movie, need I say more.  Actually this will likely get replaced at #3 when the Dune trinkets arrive whenever that might be.

I'm glad someone posted PET slips.

 

I only have a few from Kimchi but I some retailers get super creative with them. The one Manta included with the Her release is a recent example. There's a free idea for someone 😉

This is all on the idea that direct manufacturers' premium editions don't count. Remember, eons ago, when Warner Bros. put out enormous, gorgeous and fully loaded Blu-Ray giftsets? I have quite a few of those.

3. The Last of Us - Firefly Edition

 

This game is probably in my number two spot for favorite games of all time ( the most recent God of War being number 1), so when I saw it was getting a remastered premium edition I definitely had to have it. Unfortunately I can’t play it as I don’t have a PS5 yet…but it’s gunna look real nice on my shelf until then! The extra goodies in this are a series of 4 comic books entitled American Dreams telling Ellie’s story leading up to the events of the game. Unfortunately the box it came in arrived super damaged due to crap shipping, but the rest arrived nice.

 

 

2. Destiny 2 Collectors Edition

 

I spent way too many hours of my life playing the original Destiny, so D2 brought a crap ton of hype for me, and with it I eagerly preordered this beauty. Unfortunately the game back at release was a steaming pile of crap, but this premium is gorgeous! Aside from the nice steelbook you got a cabal book filled with various little trinkets: a two sided poster, lenticular card, a couple photo cards, 3 dice looking things for each of the guardian classes, and a booklet detailing the enemy race. The book that holds it all is really the big highlight here though. It feels so nice to touch because it’s go so much embossing on it, and the design is stellar. Say whatever you want about bungie, but their graphic design is stellar.

 

and now the pièce de résistance of my collection

 

1. Halo 3 Collectors Edition Helmet

 

Can’t tell you how stoked I was when I asked for this game on release and my parents came home carrying this behemoth. It’s remained on display with me everywhere since I got it all those years ago. Unfortunately I’m pretty sure I lost the actual game at some point along the way, all I could find was the extras disc case (which was super boring) but it’s acting as host to my Halo 2 steelbook, that I really wish I’d taken better care of in my younger years. only thing I’m bummed about is you can’t actually put the helmet on…

And then as an honorable mention I’ll add an actual movie premium. The Pirates of the Carribean Collector Chest. Super awesome case to hold the first four movies. Unfortunately I seem to have misplaced the actual movie, possibly at my parents house, so enjoy the movie less box!
