I'm afraid I don't have much choice this time but here I go :

 

A nice touch from Cinemuseum to accompany the edition with a small velvet bag with a Casino coin inside.

 

On this occasion Everythingblu sent us this magnificent edition with the original theatrical poster of the film.

TheBluCollection was kind enough to send us an additional cool pin as compensation for the delay in the delivery of this edition. Yes, those were different times !

Now on to Challenge #3 ………………………a simple enough challenge set by @GuyIncognit0. , or do I thought … after years of collecting premium editions you tend to amass a plethora of extra goodies and to choose just 3 is almost impossible… the ones I have  chosen  are…

#3 - from a few years ago it’s the acrylic numbering card that came with Blufans DL editions, each edition came with a different colour acrylic… after getting released with a plastic credit card this was a whole new game .. a great idea which looks amazing when illuminated…

 

selection #2 is the replica Roman Gladius Sword that came with UHD clubs Gladiator… a gorgeous little trinket that bests any art cards and what have you ..😆…

 

 

And my final selection at #1 is the 3d Lenticular wall light that came with the biggest edition ever … Magnificent Media The Terminator set … a truly epic extra that deserves its place on the wall … 

 

there are countless others that deserve a mention but the remit was just for the 3 items … so a casual reminder of some that deserve a mention … Bumblebee coins… Bladerunner 2049 police badge … Bohemian Rhapsody badge … WVL Heat with the huge two piece fridge magnet … the list goes on … thanks again to the originator of this challenge.. @GuyIncognit0…  it’s been fun looking through all the extras that cannot be forgotten about .. roll on the next challenge…🎉🎉…

Thank you thank you. I mean really they make it easy to have good taste since those games are just so dang good!

 

And yeah, I only just learned how widespread the damage issue apparently was. And they’re refusing to fix it for people too. The box it came in wasn’t that great of quality anyway so it’s not a huge loss, but still would’ve been nice to have.

So I don't usually splurge on many "extras" editions, but I do have a few that I guess fit the bill.

 

#1 - Jaws (UHD Club)

Yes, I know this is a repeat, but I just can't ignore the fantastic job @ksosk did with the commemorative shark medallion. One piece I'm glad to own in the Extras category.

 

#2 - Batman (Titans of Cult).

Batman was the first comic character I grew up with, and my first Halloween costume as a child. Anything that commemorates that DC icon I always remember with nostalgia. This edition included a Joker card with bullet hole and a limited edition Batwing pin.

 

#3 - Terminator 1-3 (MAG)

This ginormous edition celebrates the world's most recognizable cyborg, and included a 3D lenticular light-up wall picture frame / poster.

I don't seem to recall hearing (or seeing) about this? 🤔

 

I did receive the metal number card. Was the medallion (coin) an additional purchase option?

As far as I knew, I thought it was included as an MP-exclusive extra with each UHD Club purchase of this edition. This was the secret "extra" @ksosk created for this release. I figured everybody received it if they purchased this edition. No separate purchase necessary.

 

I got in on this GB at the last minute, and I thought this was the only edition offered. I could be wrong about that, but I do remember a mention of something "extra" that was being created just for this edition.

ok, here are some extras from my collection. 

 

alien anthology

probably my oldest edition that was not amaray is "alien anthology" with 4 movies. the statue of egg with alien looks great IMO. now it has some shelf wear but i still like it. there is a light inside the egg so it can be switched-on in dark. 

 

 

 

django unchained

limited edition of 300 pieces. it has bluray steelbook, poster, character cards, stickers, comics and soundtrack. i am very glad for the soundtrack as many films deserves to have it included in the premium editions, but it rarely happens.

 

 

 

 

tinker tailor soldier spy

great edition of the great film. it contains novel, notepad, playing cards, soundtrack (again!) that i put inside steelbook which i put into the edition. the sweet extra are onset photographs taken by gary oldman himself. wow!

special mention belongs to the spinning top from the briefcase edition. perfect connection of the extra with the film itself.

I tend to keep a fair bit of my collection sealed, so I'm somewhat limited in what I can show off as a favorite, but these are some standouts.

 

1. MediaPsychos Captain Marvel & Avengers: Endgame Holofoil Magnets:

 

 

These seem to be a relatively popular choice, but it's Marvel. They're stunning. What else is there to say?

 

2. EverythingBlu Hellboy II: The Golden Army Photos

 

 

It's the presentation on this one -- the witness statement, the protocol, and questionable photos of Hellboy in action -- that seamlessly flows together. 

 

3. Manta Lab Lenticular Stickers

 

 

Just a few shown here (but I love them all) from my larger collection. At this point, these just feel synonymous with Manta Lab. I'm always looking forward to what the next one looks like, and how they tie Manta Lab name and the movie together.

Here I am for this week's challenge.🙈  I just love the idea of turning fictitious stuff from a movie into physical spin-offs, so these would be my 3 picks for extras.

 

Challenge #3:

 

#1 - GONE GIRL: Amazing Amy Tattle Tale Book

My Gone Girl Blufans Lenticular Edition comes with this adorable kids book, not exactly an exclusive extra (since Gone Girl's Digipack Edition includes this as well), but I just love it when I can read a legit Amazing Amy book written by Amy's parents like the people in the Gone Girl universe do.

 

   

   

 

 

 

#2 - INCEPTION: Top Totem

The Inception Limited Edition Metal Case is already a beautiful design by itself. The spinning top totem inside just makes it even better, not to mention there's a manual for the PASIV device.😂

 

 

#3 - ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND: Cassette (Numbering Card) & Envelope

Apparently, the numbering card has adopted the cassette design from the movie, and we have a LACUNA INC. envelope (and a card sealed inside). What's not to love?🥰

Seeing as though video games extras count towards this I thought I’d change it up a bit.

 

1: Previously I showcased my posters which were included with the Force Awakens release by Blufans as per below.

 

 

 

2:  Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Harden Edition

I got this Christmas back in 2011 and it was also my very first steelbook I ever got. The best part about this release is the diary of the character you play from all 3 parts. The immense detail that is in this is crazy as it’s actually made to look like it’s gone into a battlefield.

3: Final Fantasy XII-2 Limited Collector’s Edition

Oh where can I start with this, I absolutely adore the minimalistic Final Fantasy logos with the white background and with the Final Fantasy logo it’s such a beauty. This release came with the game, art book, soundtrack, steelbook and I completely forgot but a loose lenticular card as well.

Challenge #3 (Top 3 extras)

 

1) here's a statue that came with a Filmarena venom steel book. Pretty cool and it has always been on display in my theater room!

 

2) here's some goodies that came with MAG Anaconda. This is the biggest box for any of my editions but it's pretty cool. There's a little gold coin hiding under the eye of the snake inside the box as you can see in the pics but what gets me the most is the necklace. I haven't seen this movie in a long time and want to rewatch just because of this necklace. Is the necklace from the movie or the tv series and MAG just made a mistake? I'm curious maybe you psychos can chime in? This alone makes it kind of cool to me.

 

3) here's an Amazon special edition for Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. This came with some cool goodies like a poster, a mad comic and an actual 45 record.

Here we go with my humble attempt at the 3rd challenge...

 

 

 

1. Back to the Future Maniacs Boxset - Filmarena : poster 

 

Shame on me for not opening this beauty with an epic selection of extras ... I know !! I do plan on opening it soon, think it was the shock of receiving it in hand before the 40th anniversary in 2025 lol ?! So I selected this set as BTTF has always been in my top 10 if not top 5 films. Everytime I watch it, it is an absolute joy and never ever tires.

Probably one of the most rewatchable films made. 

 

 

2. Spider-Man Far from Home  - Blufans Fanbox : badge 

 

I absolutely love this steelbook - easily the best design for FFH. Decided to include this badge for this challenge as think it might be the only badge in my premium collection?

Also includes a metal tin or lid? It is a great image nonetheless

 

 

3. Star Trek Beyond - Film Arena : lenticular magnet  

 

Much prefer Kelvin timeline to original films and this had a decent WWA release which was hugely improved by a fantastic FAC lenticular magnet. Think images are sharp considering it transitions between 3 characters. Jurassic Park also had a very nifty 3 image changing magnet but I chose STB purely for all the colours and smooth transition! 

Other examples where FAC magnet improved WWA design include Minions, Good Dinosaur, Edward Scissorhands.

@lunazero no I haven't. I keep most of my editions sealed. I did open the tube since it was outside of the edition and WOW. There was like 30 posters shoved into that thing. The pics from Filmarena show a bunch more extras even in the one click. I'm getting too broke for this hobby and thinking keeping them sealed was a good decision for when I have to sell them all lol.

Well here we are for challenge number 3.🙂

 

Some nice extras to show off, again could have been others but either I don't have them on hand or they haven't been opened yet.

 

 

1- Super Special Gift (combo) "Alita: Battle Angel - Dr Ido's Journal" Cinemuseum

 

I love the movie, I love the editions, I love the book... 😍Alita😍

 

 

2- Dark Knight Trilogy UHD Club Metal Cards

 

I could have included the lenticular ones (I don't have them at hand) but in my opinion the cards are even more fantastic, a nice detail.

 

 

3- Mini steel and pin Mad Max Fury Road Titans of Cult

 

Nice extra where the color gamut theme comes into play again, very nice to see it all together.

I have chosen 3x Cinemuseum for my extras this time. I think they always have nice ideas what extras you can add to the edition.

 

Place 1 for Joker: Since I'm a coffee drinker, here's an extra that can be used every day. I don't think any of my extras can be used as useful as this one. 😂

 

 

 

2nd place for Jaws: Original idea with the shark tooth. Also posters, cards, stickers. Everything you need...😅

 

 

 

3rd place for Terrifier: again an unusual, but again well fitting extra.

 

 

 

And these 2 extras I also had to show, although I bought them separately and they were not included with the edition. I still think they are great additions to the editions.😎
