Challenge 2!

 

1:  Terminator 2 - Zavvi - UK

I’ll start with the non Steelbook release.  I believe this was a Zavvi release.  Was the first Terminator collectible I sought out and bought when I realised it existed before buying the Endo Arm and PureArts masks.  Had to put a hat on it for a while as it scared my nephew when he stayed with us.

 

 

2: The Prestige - Manta - Asia

Didn’t get the UHD Club release of this but am extremely pleased with the SL from Manta.  Quality film and think it’s the best of all the slips.

 

 

3: John Wick - Nova - Asia

Used Nova’s JW2 in the first challenge so get to use the original in this one.  Some of my favourite films and favourite Lentis!  Had to grab it off eBay so it’s one of the few I have unsealed but it is nice to actually be able to look through it all.

 

 

4: Harry Potter - Blufans - Asia

Love the books and the films are a good effort all this considered.  Really hoping someone somewhere does the full set in premium!  Can’t believe it hasn’t happened yet.

 

 

5: IT - Cinemuseum - Europe

Always loved the original growing up and really enjoyed the remake.  Had to grab this on the Bay too so another that is open.  Front and back art on this is just great.  Very nearly 2 years since ordering part 2 but good things come to those who wait!

1. WeET Infinity War Thanos lenticular

-Basically seeing this posted everywhere got me into the world of premiums, and this was one of the first premiums I ever bought.  It got me hooked on WeET.

 

2. Harry Potter Blufans OAB

-My only nonsteelbook premium, so a given for this challenge.

 

3. Bladerunner Manta Double lenticular

-The double lenticular artwork and steelbook are just outstanding.  Definitely my favorite Manta release so far.

 

4. Novamedia Age of Ultron Thor

- Love the holofoil on this.  When the lights are dimmed it looks incredible, and the artwork is stunning.  Steelbook is also top notch with gloss and embossing.

 

5. Cinemuseum ZSJL lenticular

-My first CM release, likely to be taken over by other upcoming CM editions, but for now it is my favorite, and I believe it was the first ZSJL premium to be released.  At the time this front artwork was unique, although not anymore as more premium retailers jumped in.

 

Disregard the Blufans Ragnarok in 1st 2 pictures and the CX Media The Thing in the last 2 pictures.  Initially forgot I needed an amaray so Ragnarok needed axed and Harry Potter got added, then I forgot how to count to 5 and added The Thing which wasn't needed.  Those would have been 6 and 7.

So guys, the last week was pretty exhausting at my job, now I finally get around to posting a few of my favorites.

 

1. Jaws, Cinemuseum: I have to admit, Cinemuseum is currently my favorite retailer. The artwork and editions are all killer. I've now decided on Jaws here, but could just as easily have gone with Joker or Terrifier.

 

 

2. Braveheart, Black Barons: One of my first editions, so it also has a personal value for me. I just love the movie and they did a great job with the edition as well. Also a super soundtrack.

 

 

3. Drive - Manta Lab: The gimmick with the jacket around the One Click is just a brilliant idea. I also had to open necessarily to try out the zipper. 😂 Overall a great package! Fitting for a top film.

 

 

4. 300 - HDzeta: To get into my top 5, both have to fit: Film and Edition. That fits here also simply with both.

 

 

5. I honestly couldn't decide between the Sin City 2 Mediabook or the new Cyborg Edition, which I also really like. So I'll just take both!

1. UHD Club Blade Runner 2049: this edition made me really go "Wow" when I first held it in my hands. also one of my favorite movies.

My first MAG and my favorite Neill Blomkamp movie, when I find a suitable protector I will be able to enjoy the extras it brings, especially the book

One of my most beautiful editions, with a steelbook that is pure beauty.

 

 

1- Blade Runner 2049 UHD Club

 

I would say that the most beautiful of all at this time, what can I say that has not already been said about these wooden boxes. Another edit thanks to John🙂

Here we go. Took me a while to have to pull them out of my unorganized shelf lol.

 

1. UHD Club BR2049. Who doesn’t like this wooden purple box? It’s so elegant to look at.

 

2. Alien Covenant. Probably one of a few FAC Fullslip I truly love. It is just so unique.

 

 

3. Thor Blufans Red Lenticular. Very sharp image and nicely done Lenti.

 

4. Winter Soldier Nova Media. I know we don’t have so much love on O-Ring Lenti, but this one is an exception. The image is so sharp. Luckily I ended up getting the same number of this one as my KimchiDVD Winter Soldier One Click. What are the chances right?

 

5. AoU Nova 1/4 Slip. Another nicely done steelbook from Nova. Kinda sad they stop doing Marvel.

Amazing week for challenge 2, we really did see some awesome editions. I think the Blade Runner 2049 UHD has been shown the most.

 

@Gentleman Braveheart is my favorite stand alone movie, I also love the BB edition. There is a 2-Disc Expanded and remasterd Soundtrack CD from La-La Land Records a must have. For German/European Fans can get it at Soundtrackcorner.de and other directly at La-La Land Records.

You completetd the hattrick for BR 2049 UHD @DParadigm , 3 submissions in a row had it 😲. Normally you're only allowed to show 1 edition for each retailer, but it is okay this time 😜

 

So challenge two has not even 1 day left and the drawing for challenge 3 is done.
