At 2-2 I was almost euphoric, thinking I might be the only one to correctly guess this crazy game’s outcome and get a whooping 13pts in one go… that didn’t last long.

This Germany team is probably the weakest side this country has ever yielded, or since the sixties at least. 
Well done Japan 👊 defeated both Spain and Germany (and somehow lost to Costa Rica) to finish as group leaders.

Croatia is in for a very tough match against this tournament’s dark horse.

Spain is weaker than many people think. The 7-0 against Costa Rica was a dream that nobody expected.

My most sincere congratulations to Japan, they have been the best of the group, and they are in the position they deserve. I hope they go very far and great in this World Cup. 

 

About Germany, they have a problem, and it's not Costa Rica. But I don't know what problem they have.

The Germans were very honored by making an effort to beat Costa Rica in 20 minutes, when they were loosing.

 

And I say honest, because victory was worthless to them.

 

In his case, the Spaniards would have let themselves go without a fight.

As you have well commented, the defeat of Costa Rica was a mirage. Looking at the other two games, they have made it clear, in my opinion, that both Germany and Japan were superior.

 

Bravo for the Japanese, worthy of first place in the group.👏

 

On the other hand, Belgium has been a huge disappointment, I put a lot of faith in them in this tournament.😔

Not very surprised by Belgium, when you see that their striker Lukaku comes back from a long injury you can't blame him for missing the opportunities he had.

Where I am surprised is the late awakening of Germany, I thought that after their elimination from the 2018 world cup they would have recovered...

I wouldn't be surprised if the team is totally rebuilt for the next competition.

In the meantime, I who had bet on them winning, see a bleak future for my ranking 😂
