Media Psychos World Cup 2022 Prediction Game/Challenge

Congratulations to Argentina, nice to see that a Player that has received so much praise in the last 15 or so years could actually back it up and become World Champion.

When I first checked it was 2:0 for Argentina, so I only wanted to come back for the last few minutes and it was 2:2 😲. Certainly an interesting overtime 👍

 

Respect to the French Team for showing fighting spirit, I wish more Teams would have had that during this tournament.

 

Personally I still think it was the worst World Cup I have seen, but the Final certainly delivered.

 

And so did our prediction Game

Surprised I'd had tied for 6th.  Got totally killed on a few of those days.  Couldn't pick a winner to save my life.

Only just woke up as I was awake all night and morning celebrating the win at the live area here filled with all the supporters. The best World Cup final match I have ever seen, made me cry tears or joy.

Was a lot of fun and as someone who came into the World Cup not having much invested, each game turned into a fun event to root for

when morocco eliminited portugal in quarter final, i got this great idea - to get some extra points, i decided to change all my predictions for all resting matches to the other team than i previously considered as winner. my mind was telling me that no other super surprises will come but i still wanted to get more points. but in these last 5 matches, i got 0 (=zero) winners 🤣 

it was all-or-nothing and i got nothing. 

 

anyway, this small blackout of my mind didnt make the experience worse as this was another great prediction football game.

Thanks!! I don't watch sports, but enjoyed participating in a MP challenge. I filled out all my predictions on the same day back in November.

Many thanks to @extantsrevenge and the team for organizing it.

 

This is an activity that I find a lot of fun, even when I have sometimes forgotten to add my forecast. But the head doesn't stop with this...

 

About the World Cup... I think France has the best team, 100%, but maybe having so many brilliant individuals has allowed them to win games without needing to be a brilliant team, and in a World Cup final that shows. And Argentina was better, and deservedly won.

 

That doesn't mean I think Argentina is a super team, in fact I don't think it's a great team, if you look at the people who accompany Messi there aren't many great players; but it has been the best.

 

Perhaps the conclusion that this gives us is that the level of the World Cup has not been as high as we like to see.

 

In fact, if someone as Griezmann was one of the best, everything is said.

 

I'm glad that Morocco has come this far; or the victory of Arabia just against Argentina, or that Senegal has done a good job even without its best player. It's good - and even necessary - that new teams and new countries introduce fresh air into this world of well-to-do children.

 

It's funny, because I have the perception that football is becoming more physical, but at the same time, softer. The players have many hours in the gym, but then when they go to the match, having to bite the grass to keep going and push the ball before the rival, they are often like injured children.

 

In short, La Liga will finally resume and I will be able to go to the stadium to continue watching my team, which is the important thing. These interruptions to watch summer tournaments in winter rob me of some afternoons/evenings of fun.   

 

As for my participation in our nice competition, I started badly, I don't know why, I didn't get anything right, and then I went up. Actually... I do it so that you trust, relax, and the day there is a jackpot to surprise you.

I'm slow to respond here because I've had limited wifi access lately but thanks for putting on such a fun event!

 

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out and I'll happily take my participation trophy
