  1. I didn't predict the first 5 or 6 days. Didn't realize we were guessing every game and thought we were instead guessing group results/who would advance.
  2. My submission for Challenge 10. Back again after skipping the last one (I don't own any scores/music on physical media). My picks for the 5 different handheld weapons are: Solo - Han Solo's blaster Revenge of the Sith - Anakin's lightsaber Halloween - Michael Myers' kitchen knife Thor Love and Thunder - Thor's stormbreaker The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - Leatherface's chainsaw My favorite hero's handheld weapon is probably Thor's Mjolnir. It's just a classic design and obviously incredibly rich in lore and power. My favorite villain's handheld weapon is Vader's Lightsaber. It's iconic and memorable and also laser swords are cool.
  3. My submission for Challenge 8. Wanted to do it with only Disney steelbooks (since I own a steelbook version of every animated Disney movie that has gotten one) and it turned out to be pretty easy. Red: The Aristocats Orange: Hercules Yellow: The Rescuers Down Under Green: Bambi Blue: Moana Indigo: Aladdin Violet: The Hunchback of Notre Dame As for organization, I have 3 main shelves. One is for Disney stuff (MCU in release order, Star Wars in timeline order, and the aforementioned Disney steelbooks alphabetical). One is for normal steelbooks (alphabetical) with a shelf for Criterions. The last shelf is for premium releases (alphabetical).
  4. The first movie that really creeped me out was probably The Exorcist. I watched that way too young and was definitely scarred by it.
  5. My submission for Challenge 7. Wanted to mix it up with different styles of horror and stick only to my premiums. Beetlejuice (HDZeta) Get Out (EverythinBlu) Psycho (EverythingBlu) Shaun of the Dead (EverythingBlu) The Shining (Black Barons) Happy Halloween everyone!
  6. Here's my submission for Challenge 6, a relatively easy one for me. W: Wind River T: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre D: Days of Being Wild As for my username, Wtd is a shortened version of an old gamer tag of mine: Weighted Companion Noob (play on words from one of my favorite game franchises ever: Portal).
  7. Fun challenge, looking forward to participating in more of them now that I'm back. Here's my submission for Challenge 4 with a good mix of cars, motorcycles, animals, rockets, and other fun forms of transport. Batman 89 - Batmobile The Batman - Batmobile v5? The Dark Knight - Batpod Apollo 13 - Rocket Blow Out - Car Easy Rider - Motorcycle The Fast and the Furious - Cars Ferris Bueller's Day Off - Car Lawrence of Arabia - Camel Taxi Driver - Taxi
  8. Congrats on graduating from rubber maids to shelves!
  9. First episode of moon knight was enjoyable. Both Isaac and Hawke gave great performances and seem to be having a blast. Looking forward to how it develops, I’m getting major Fight Club (unreliable narrator) vibes.
  10. My Star Wars cards just arrived and they’re beautiful. Shipping was fast and they were packed well. Can’t wait to crack them open. Here’s a shot of them on the Star Wars shelf:
  11. Seemed that way a few weeks ago but Kotsur has won every head to head award and Power of the Dog has underperformed (relatively). Plus Kotsur is fantastic in CODA, he’s older so he likely won’t get another role like this, and the academy loves to create moments and Troy and his interpreter have been great on the award circuit so far. He’s definitely the favorite now.
  12. Another data point as we get closer to the Oscars: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/bafta-awards-2022-winners-list-1235109906/ Looks like three of the actor awards are more or less locked in (with Kotsur joining Smith and Debose). I’d still expect Campion to win best director and Power of the Dog to take best picture. Dune is likely to dominate the technical/craft categories and Best Actress is completely wide open with no real standout as far as I can tell.
  13. I really loved Rebels. The Twilight of the Apprentice arc in Rebels is, in my opinion, the best Star Wars storytelling ever (across all films and series). Clone Wars has a lot of filler episodes, you can probably find lists of important episodes to watch to understand certain important arcs.
  14. Have you watched the animated series (Clone Wars and Rebels)? There seem to be a lot of references in the trailer and those shows give a ton of background and insight into Anakin, Obi Wan, and the others.
  15. Tagging the Book of Boba Fett discussion crew to get this thread going: @GuyIncognit0@Veum@Noir21@damships@Viper0210 Hopefully Obi Wan is a more consistently enjoyable experience than Boba Fett was.
  16. It’s a numbered/limited print from 2018 by Vance Kelly. https://dogstreets.com/artwork/Vance Kelly/The Lord of the Rings%3A The Fellowship of the Ring 18/51234 I got mine from eBay. You can usually find it around $100 or so.
  17. Figured I'd start this thread as the trailer just dropped! How's everyone feeling about this one?
  18. Last night I watched a Kurosawa masterpiece and one of my favorite movies ever, High and Low, on the big screen in 35mm at my local arthouse theater. It was pretty interesting to watch so soon after having watched The Batman since a lot of the new Reeves' movie's DNA is heavily steeped in this Japanese classic noir detective thriller. The second half of this movie in particular lays the groundwork for many of the modern procedural thrillers we know and love today (Se7en, Zodiac, The Batman, etc.). I cannot recommend this film highly enough.
