What can I say... again I choose the wrong teams. I'm really disappointed, I always think they would fight but nothing from Ghana today and my favorite Team (the only one I'm watching) Portugal also lost 😱. But here I was actually happy for South Korea that they could advance.

 

At least I got 5 Bonus points and also crossed the 100 points.

The horror that was the group phase is behind us 😀. That was certainly a strange competition, not only on the field but also in our Game. To be honest I'm shocked at how bad I predicted myself and how bad the teams have played in the World Cup. I think that no one deserves to become World Champion, they seem to be a bunch of overpaid divas that certainly don't have much fighting spirit.

 

Anyway congratulations to @Hecko who collected 40 points on Day 6 and won that. Also congrats to @Mrdugan who held on to his #1 spot with an amazing amount of 197 points.

 

Special mention goes to @Toapel who was the only Psycho that predicted 7 of the 8 group winning teams.

 

We are now entering the elimination rounds. This means NO DRAWS ANYMORE! The game is set up so that we predict the exact score. That means a game can end after 90 Minutes, or after extra time at 120 Minutes or after penalty shootout.

 

In the hopes to make our competions also a little more interesting I have adjusted the points that can be earned for predicting the round of 16. Predicting the correct result will now earn you 5 bonus points, the correct goal difference 2 and the winning team 1. In addition the points distributed by the point rule are 5-15. So members could be earing up to 20 points for a correct game.

 

I also took out the following members:

 

Coin (who registered 2 days ago) I'm sorry you have missed to many games and I also don't know who you're on the site.

@ChristophStraub predicted 24 of 48 games, stopped playing after gameday 3. Points collected 81.

Rapunzel predicted 32 of 48 games, stopped playing after gameday 4. Points collected 81, also don't know who you are on the site.

 

There are a few more players that risk getting deleted if they stop playing or miss to many games now. Don't risk not getting our awesome World Cup Award 😊

 

The good news is now we can see the complete field of players without any extra clicking.

I think I arbitrarily put a score of 3-1 for this matchup when I signed up but I switched it to USA 3, Netherlands 1 yesterday as I didnt want to bet against USA.
