Week 14 Challenge

 

Dog - Blufans Coco , one of my favourite Pixar films and steelbooks. Glorious! 

Swan - FAC Deadpool 2, other artwork features a unicorn lol

Dragon - HDZeta How to Train Your Dragon... fairly certain this is an animal of sorts!

Whale - Life of Pi... if you squint can also see a tiger!

Bear - Paddington, simply marvellous film with an excellent sequel

 

My favourite animal is difficult to choose but I have always liked owls as they have some elegance and always have a calming presence about themselves.

I dont think I've seen that Weet Isle of Dogs, that's an awesome addition.

this week's challenge was not so difficult to complete.l so i chose the films that would probably be not so often in other challenges.

It's not easy to choose an animal, I hesitated with the dog, but at the moment I would say guinea pigs.

They were a gift from me to my wife who has loved them since she was a child and they are little animals that you get attached to easily because they give so much love.

My favorite animals are dogs, like so many others in here. Dogs are better than most humans.

So, here's my pup! Her name is Ripley and she's a Xenomorph slayer.

This is a cool challenge because I see that so many members here have and love animals ! 👍😎

I have no pets. When I was younger, we had some fishes (aquarium) at my parents house but thats all.

I like animals, but I prefer them in other people's homes. Playing or cuddling dogs or cats is nice. 😇

OK, cuddling a little fish would be difficult... 😄

 

Back to the challenge. I just took a look at my animation movies in the frame on the wall and...Bingo !

 

So we have a Dinosaur, sheeps, a cool sabre-toothed tiger, a Lama and of course...it was a "must-have"...a Sloth !! 😁😄 @thomue1987

In "Zootopia" there are so many cute animated animals. Thats why I like these kind of movies so much. There's so much action beside in the background of every scene.

You really see that the director of the movie loved to bring life into details. Very cool !

Xmas Special Challenge - "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow"

 

As Christmas is just around the corner, we thought it would be the perfect occasion for our members to share 5 editions of their favorite Xmas or snow themed movies.

Every format is accepted: dvd, amaray, mediabook.... even custom steels 😁

Movies that feature a single scene that occurs during Xmas or only one scene with snow in it, will NOT count towards the challenge.

Also, only one type of snow is accepted, so don't try to be smart and post something like this:

 

And lastly, pls share the movie or movies you plan on watching next weekend with your family/friends.

Tokyo Godfather, I already showed this in the Directors Challenge.

Gremlins, I think everyone knows this one.

The Long Kiss Goodnight, great Action Movie which seems to be forgotten by most. I mean we still don't have a Steelbook.

It's a Wonderful Life with the amazing James Stewart.

Batman Returns

 

and my all time favorite, must see on the 24th Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel (Three Wishes for Cinderella 1973). This is the only movie I watch each and every year on exactly the same date. Without it I would not celebrate christmas. If I'm not in the mood for christmas I will be after seeing this. The movie is PERFECT pure Magic.

 

 

Like I wrote above I'm planning to see Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel on the 24th. I'm also seeing The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (20th Anniversary Celebration). The LotR came out in December and somehow I prefer to see them at this time of the year. I'm also planning to see several Christmas related things, like the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special and a few Christmas Movies I don't know yet. Then I plan on seeing The Last Unicorn 40th Anniversary (not a Christmas Movie), but also one of the movies that I see during this time.

 

The stage is certainly set for a great Christmas week as I'm currenty living in a Winter Wonderland, here is the view behind the house 😲

Animal Shark = Jaws Steelbook 

 

FANTASTIC transfer of this iconic  move . I saw a documentary where the team cleaned up the film frame by frame.  A work of love and patience for future generations to enjoy .

 

 

Animal Marine Fish = Finding Nemo. 

 

Dory is based on me a 3 second memory and such a heartwarming beautiful story . Also a cracking steelbook. 

 

Animal Ape and Horse = War For The Planet Of The Apes Steelbook.

 

 

A well thought out ending and the craft used on the reboot of again an iconic movie is spellbinding.  This is one of the best Trilogys ever made and can be completely overlooked with LOTR and Max as a Trilogy. 

 

I have to say I am looking forwards to the upcoming Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes .

 

 

Animal Bat = Dracula Untold Steelbook 

 

OK you know I have a thing for this steel and Movie  so it won't surprise you I have a big thing for Bats too. Years ago we went to Chester Zoo and they have a Bat Cave full of verious  Bats from all over the world . I was sat hours as happy as a pig in mud just watching them interact .

Wondering WTF was wrong with those cowering at the thought of going in .

 

 

Animal  Bear = Paddington Steelbook 

 

Ben Whishaw makes Paddington Paddington . A stark reminder with the beginning section of what a destructive  virus the race of man can be . 

 

 

So thire are my pick of animals in steelbook form . Sorry its a bit on the late side , real world is being a pain at the moment.  Peace out  and LOVE TO YOU PSYCHOS ONE AND ALL .
