Indeed buddy, as have I.

That phrase can apply to so many things though I guess.

For me, some of the greatest films that hold the most affection for me, predominantly came out in the 1950s.

As in the early '60s, we could still see them on repeat runs at the theatre and then, when Dad bought a television! Well;

 

 

I was totally hooked, on films.  🤩

I've been scratching that itch ever since.

No doubt, the many friends we have here, suffer the same rash. 🙂

I was a casual movie collector until I discovered Steelbooks, Digibooks, Etc... Then after doing some research I discovered Premiums, and oh man it was over after that. I think my first premium was an Unnumbered Commando FAC, and it is one of my favorite Movies/Premium. Now I’m playing catch up with films of my childhood.

And having a BLAST doing it I bet! 🤩

 

It is still, no lie, absolutely mesmerizing to me the fact that I can own, in my own home, a film that was playing in the big movie theatres!

This, contrary to current popular belief, was not always possible.

I recall back in my early days, as a big fan of "Famous Monsters Of Filmland" magazine, ordering the 8mm, 10minute films of some Universal classics like "Frankenstein" and "The Wolf Man" and begging Dad to set up the projector and screen for me.

I recall in 1980, a friend invited me over to his house and showed me his brand new Betamax machine, and had rented 3 films to watch.

I think we watched them all 3 times.

That was the dawning of the home video era for me and well, we've come a long way I'd say....

I remember playing Atari on a Comsole TV Similar to this.

 

 

Also remember riding my bike to the video store with my friend to rent movies for our VHS player.

I loved the recent Bumblebee film and this looks even more like the original thing I grew up with as a kid....

 

 

 

I dont know much about this but says trilogy so think its 3 long episodes maybe feature lenth films...

The movie reboot by Bay one thing that I felt was always understated was the score .

 

the sequence where Bumblebee was awiting the other Autobots to land had and still does have me in tears 

 

I am not ashamed to admit it either its heart wrenching stuff
