Yeah... It should be around March as actual memberships "Expire" at that time...

So new member here. Hi folks!  I have read several threads on this subject, and still not sure how to get involved.  I seem to understand that membership levels are limited. And I read about bronze silver and gold, but now I'm seeing platinum being mentioned. Anyways,  do I wait till March to try and get a membership? Or do u get one now and march is renewal? And how do I know which levels are available? Sorry for the asks, but I am interested in spring supporting this community.  Thanks to all with some extra time for these questions.

Bronze, Silver and Gold were the old tier memberships that have since been changed to Silver, Gold and Platinum, each with their exclusive perks.

The current membership cycle (lasts 6 months) expires at the end of this month and subscription/membership renewal for the next one should be announced soon. All details will be explained once that announcement is made so stay tuned for future updates.

Curious how current GBs will be determined for positions, since technically the most recent memberships have expired. LOTR group buy was entered quite some time ago but probably wont release until the next batch of memberships I assume. 

 

If someone entered recent GBs with gold membership, but get Platinum in the next batch of memberships, would they move up in priority on that specific GB?

Memberships were extended 2 months, as previously announced. So LOTR will go by current membership.

Correct me if I'm wrong @deckard99 my buddy but I was of the understanding that whatever a person's membership was, the day they signed up for the GB is what membership will determine their positioning.

So for example, if Gold when signed up, and then becomes Platinum later, they retain the Gold positioning.  🙂

 

Oh, and Memberships do not "expire" as such.

At whatever time renewal happens, either a person retains their current one (for dues paid), or they can request the higher tier or even elect not to renew.

If the GB is closed then I don’t recall us ever making changes to the tier lists. 
 

If still open and tiers are in use and a member upgrades from gold to platinum I think we’d update the GB (unless it doesn’t matter because we have enough either way). 
 

This is a lot of “ifs” and it’s making my head hurt!

Just imagine the pain a GB Host would feel if they had to scour the list of every name, look up that person's current/new membership tier, adjust the list if it appears they warrant higher or lower, then do that for every person on the list.

Actually this happened on the SM Homecoming Blufans GB.

The new cycle started before the GB closed so it was rearranged to new Membership Tiers.

 

So, it’s irrelevant  if you signed up as a Tiered Member if the GB hasn’t closed. 😉😉

 

Just imagine those GB from FA that opened 3 years ago!!... Hahaa... 😅😅

As I said in my previous post... Admins did exactly that for the Spiderman Homecoming BF GB... 😅😅
