We finished Killers of the Flower Moon, and it was a great flick from Scorsese! Poor DiCaprio was so naive in this movie, it was funny and sad at times.

It is a great film. Real cinema, the good kind.

I can say with pride that I saw it in the cinema with my 12 year old daughter and she didn't ask how much time was left until 3 hours and 5 minutes into the film.

I wish someone would give us a collector's edition!!

One more time . . .

Watched the 2nd season finale last night and am now prepared to say that the 2nd season is at least *almost* as good as season 1, which is very good indeed.  The finale would do fine as a series finale but I hope it isn’t.  There are some very interesting things that could happen next from here, they’ve changed the Tokyo crime landscape with the happenings of the finale. Very good show.

Man that’s a lot of Chuck Norris.  Kind of making me wish I had MGM+.

Took my mom out for her birthday, saw this at the theater at her request:

Just a really well done movie, the studio system at its best.  Two two hour chunks, with an intermission right in the middle. Neither piece feels 2 hours long.  Really great performances from everyone involved.  Actually enjoyed it though it drags a bit for me after the baby is born.

Finally got myself a region free Blu-ray player so I can watch my German media books.  61PEPU-WKL._AC_UF8941000_QL80_.thumb.jpg.e3cdd0835e0ec9cddb31b95c95382b19.jpg

I don't know why but this 1990 remake with Tony Todd seems completely forgotten.  I enjoyed it

It is one of my favorite Remakes. It kept to the original story, while using new technology and actors to portray it amazingly.

We started watching Parsyte: The Grey last night on Netflix. Directed by Yeon Sang-ho (Train to Busan).

Always loved this one, hard to go wrong with those two actors.

Have you seen The Hunted, with Tommy Lee Jones and Benicio del Toro (directed by William Friedkin)?  A lot of similarities between the two.

As soon as I get the kiddo to bed I’m throwing in Rolling Thunder, in which Tommy Lee plays the pal who will help you whenever you need to kill folks.

Oh yes I certainly have. I hold that film in high regard even purchased the knife or at least a knife patterned after the one used in the movie.

I had somehow never seen this. So good. I’m beginning to think Guy Pierce pissed in some studio execs corn flakes because he absolutely deserved just as much hype as Russell. He's great in everything I've seen him in.

Speaking of which. A nice 4k steelbook of Count of Monte Cristo would be pretty awesome...
