Just a few weeks ago I was telling someone about The Langoliers, another Stephen King miniseries that was exactly how you describe, a 2 parter over sunday-monday. Looks like I was 10 when it came out. I barely remember any of the story but the scenes where the guy stimmed by ripping paper stuck with me ever since. No idea why. Stephen King inadvertently jumped on the ASMR craze at least 15 years early, though! Pretty impressive!

Honestly the pressure of having it be his "final film" has to be enormous and I can't help but think it was a mistake to ever announce that he was only making 10.

Either it works great in 30 episodes or it's Peter Jackson's The Hobbit all over again. Those are the only 2 options. 😁

It's weird though because Blair Witch was hugely popular because no one knew anything about the production and people thought it could have been real. Doesn't work as well when there's news and big money behind it.

I had somehow never seen this. So good. I’m beginning to think Guy Pierce pissed in some studio execs corn flakes because he absolutely deserved just as much hype as Russell. He's great in everything I've seen him in. Speaking of which. A nice 4k steelbook of Count of Monte Cristo would be pretty awesome...

Reminds me of Warren Beatty's film that everyone spoke in hush tones about for years. Ended up being the pretty mediocre Howard Hughes biopic. It's pretty sad. Whatever though. As far as Francis is concerned, no one can take Apocalypse Now away from me and for that I'm forever grateful, regardless of how Megalopolis turns out.

Good morning, Gents. Just wanted to pop in here and introduce myself. I’m Adam. I recently found MP going through a pretty interesting rabbit hole of a few different subreddits and discord servers. I kept drooling over everyone's steelbooks. Someone was eventually kind enough to mention MP, which seems to be ground zero for all things steelbook! Hopefully I can find my way around and learn a bit without being too annoying! Cheers!
