Sicario (Plain Archive)

I had this edition on my list for a very long time and never found it for a reasonable price - until now! I even went so far as to get the FAC edition as a "placeholder" the other day, since I think the movie is great and the Plain Archive slip wasn't within reach. Now I've finally found it and the FAC can go in the bin 😂 I haven’t unpacked the Plain Archive Edition just yet, but on pics the contents have always looked really great to me. The artwork is a fantastic fit for the feel of the film. The luminiscent effect stands for itself and the steel also looks absolutely bombastic on pictures! Will watch the film again in the next time and then unpack the edition - stuff like this makes my heart as a collector go faster 😍

 

Modern Times (Plain Archive)
Certainly not a world-class edition, but Modern Times simply belongs in the shelf as a film lover. Plain Archive is simply reliable for stuff like that, even if I'm not really interested in keep cases. Therefore, the question to you guys: Is there actually a steelbook of the film? If so, I'll put it on my list, so I can make my own edition in combination with this slip someday. After all, you do not always have to have everything at once. 😉

Hmm, this one is definitely a critical point for me. To start with, I think the film is terrific, so a Premium Edition of this is an absolute must for me! As far as I know, there are Weet, Blufans (and Filmarena, whose variant I find horrible, though) to choose from. The Blufans slip I personally find outstanding - however, Blufans editions are objectively quite disappointingly equipped. The Weet variant here doesn't really do it any better, especially since it's also an O-ring. So here's the plan: First put Weet on the shelf for a small amount of money and probably upgrade to the Blufans Edition at some point. But then this will probably stay sealed anyway. With the few goodies it's not even worth removing the foil in relation to the loss of value. I don't really care about this factor for most releases, but well - Blufans just never blows me away in terms of goodies. Too bad actually, with such a great film ...
