Challenge #10

Time to get back on track as I met the first 7 challenges but slacked off the last two weeks :

 

1. Kylo Ren's Lightsaber on the Force Awakens. 

2. Rowdy Roddy Piper holding the Shotgun on They Live. 

3. Christian Slater holding a 38 on True Romance. 

4. Snake Plissken with the rifle with scope. 

5. Last but not least is my boy, you could say he's an Old Boy, Dae-Su with the hammer on the back cover of Plain Archive Old Boy. 

 

My favorite weapon for a hero in a movie is the mini gun in T2. First used by Jesse Ventura in the Predator but used to perfection by Arnie here. 

 

My favorite Villan weapon is Kylo Ren's Lightsaber

The Bat’Leath is an iconic silver screen weapon…

Challenge 10

 

My favorite hero with a weapon would probably be Arnold in Commando. Grenade. 
 

My favorite Villain with a weapon is Willem Dafoe in Wild at Heart. Shotgun.

Good challenge, @extantsrevenge! My favorite hero weapon is Luke's green lightsaber in Return of the Jedi. I was exactly the right age for that movie when it came out, and I saw it every day for the first week of release. And when Luke first ignites that beautiful green lightsaber... I mean, remember, at that time we had no idea lightsabers could be any color but blue or red. It was just awesome. Favorite villain weapon: the flying daggers in House of Flying Daggers. That scene in the bamboo, when the daggers are flying everywhere... I get shivery just thinking about it.

 

Here are five different handheld weapons for the challenge:

Challenge 10: "Choose your Weapon"

Thanks @extantsrevenge Nils for this cool challenge ! Very hard to decide which weapons to choose...the selection seems to be endless. 😎

 

I tried to combine the weapon selection with movies I like a lot or  where the topic "weapon" plays a special role.

 

#1 Kick Ass

One of my favorite fun action hero movies. So funny and entertaining. He uses nightsticks.

 

#2: Heat

This movie convinced especially with its audio track in the scene in the city with the gunfight. What a sound ! Impressive !

So here we have different kind of automatic rifles (M4 etc).

 

#3: Kill Bill

She's so wonderful ! Lucy Liu in Kill Bill fighting with a Katana

 

#4: Tomb Raider

Just one question: What is more dangerous ? Two Heckler & Koch USP Match's or Lara Croft (Angelina Jolie) ? 😁

She's still one of my favorite movie ladies. She's just... 😍

 

#5 Rambo

No challenge without posting something about Rambo ! 😎

Yes, we search for hand weapons but...in the end, he himself is the weapon !

No matter what I posted before...there's no Luys Liu sword, no Lara Guns...but we definetly have a "Rambo Knife " !!!

 

And talking about weapons.... "RAMBO" for me is the only Edition I own where the edition itself is a weapon...

*taadaaaaaa* The Rambo Special collectors grenade edition. Nothing more to say. 😁😎

 

Special questions

My all-time favorite weapon from a hero:

"Men in Black" Will Smith getting his "Noisy Cricket". Best scene ever ! 😄

But later using it....so much power !!! 😎

 

My all-time favorite weapon from a villain:

Could only be the dark force of Darth Vader (maybe including his red lightsaber).

 

 

And I've an idea for a new challenge.

Here’s my entry

Helicopter blade sword from Edge of Tomorrow

Quintessential 80s Rambo knife

 

Quintessential 80s horror weapons of Jason’s machete and Freddy’s knife hand thing.

 

I guess my favorite weapons would be lightsabers, favorite hero saber would be Luke/Anakin/Rey’s blue lightsaber and favorite villain would be Vaders red lightsaber. I own replicas of both so I guess they are clearly my favorites! Runners up (ones that I have thought about buying) would be Conan’s Crum sword and the pulse rifle from Aliens. Runner up villain weapon would probably the Jason and Freddy weapons.

3. Polymimetic blade from Terminator Genysis

4. Kick-Ass’s billy clubs 

5. Ash’s chainsaw from the last two original Evil Dead movies

 

 

 

 

My favorite hero and villain weapons, though… hmmm. Luke’s lightsaber is definitely up there, along with The Terminator’s mini gun and Ash’s chainsaw. For the bad guys, the T-1000’s blade arm.

- Every type of packaging is allowed.

- Make sure that you only choose weapons that a person could hold in their hand.

Weapons of Choice

 

For me, this was an easy one but I wanted to keep it to non-gun weapons and throw in a few lessor known titles.

 

1.  Phantasm Series - The Steel Ball wielded by the Tall Man  (also my favorite villain weapon)

2.  Krull - The Glaive - I was obsessed with this as a kid.  (Also my favorite hero weapon)

3.  Fascination - The Scythe wielded by vampire Brigitte Lahaine.  I could have also just said her body….that was a weapon in its own right.  If you know, you know….

4.  Texas Chainsaw Massacre - Ash would have nothing without Leatherface’s weapon of choice

5.   Machine Girl - Her arm cannon was thing of twisted beauty.
