The Lentis are looking good though and glad that they didn't went for the same artwork for the Steel itself as the Kimchi one.

I showed the 3 editions to my wife and her favourite is the DL with the SL being her least favourite: “it looks like the cover of a magazine” is what she said 🤣

The FS would work better as inside artwork for a steelbook.

 

And the SL looks more like a poster for a lighthearted indie movie.

Baffled why JR is not on the OC at all!

Maybe because NP’s star has turned out to shine much brighter than JR’s?

Maybe just maybe the folks at ML are so smitten with NP??

Also maybe because some Chinese still write from right to left???

I actually like all the slips, but the OC box sure could use a uniform grey on the spine as well.

As for why Mathilda and not Leon.... it's simple, Mathilda is played by Natalie Portman and we are all Portman simps. Even those who deny it

But if you wish to present it, you'll only see one side.

Leon's arm is cut off and also the gun and the finger of Mathilda (If you take a look at the front, and that's what I see, when I present it. As long as I'm not running circles around the edition. )

 

 

But anyways, for me, that's the meaning of a designer fail (cutting off, arms, hands, feet, legs etc... every prof of a designer/art school, would kick me out of his class for that. 🤣

But that's just my point of view.

Lol sometimes the premium retailers don’t do the best job on the steels themselves in terms of art and/or spot gloss/embossing. The 2001 steel was very bland for me, prefer the original embossed Zavvi (which is the art on the FS). As for Leon, I’m growing to like the art on this one but will need to wait til it’s in-hand as to whether the switcheroo will def take place - although I do think the black and silver colour scheme of the Zavvi one (or Kimchi one) would match nicely with the FS art of the Manta.

Kimchi has beautiful spot gloss, far superseding it. 😍
