Rules and Information for Group Buys on Media Psychos.

The Group Buys on Media Psychos are run for the benefit of all members of the forum. Media Psychos is very proud to offer a multitude of Group Buys from many different retailers from all around the world. The team at Media Psychos has built up good relationships with many retailers over the years, enabling members to get copies of the rarest and most sought after releases that they might otherwise not be able to get. The term Group Buy (GB) does not mean bulk buying to get cheaper deals nor does it mean you will get some form of expedited or otherwise "additional" benefits, it is rather a different and in many cases best or only way to get all the wonderful limited products. To make all that possible and bring our members the best service possible, we have a set of rules that have to be abided by all members using this service (Group Buys (GB) on Mediapsychos.com (MP).

Before you submit any request in one of our GB forms, please make sure you read and understand the rules and information given here and on the Form before clicking SUBMIT.

Joining a Group Buy

Before joining any Group Buy on MP, please be sure that you really want the item(s) you request. If you submit a request in any GB, you're added to the GB Participation List in the GB Club and will take part in that GB!   MP does launch some GBs before the Beauty Shots are out as "Pre-registration" Group Buys. Please only join those GBs if you know for sure that you will want at least one edition of that release, regardless of what they might look like. If you're unsure about this, please DO NOT join at that time and wait with your request for after the Beauty Shots have been revealed.  

When you click on the “BUY NOW” button at the end of our Group Buy form and submit your request, you are placing a special order with Media Psychos and entering into a binding contractual relationship.  Accordingly, backing out of a Group Buy for any reason or otherwise failing to pay for your order is strictly prohibited, a breach of this contract and a violation of these Rules.  Among other remedies, Media Psychos reserves the right to take administrative action against any such member including demotion of membership status and banning from the site.

To join a Group Buy, go to the GB Topic and click on the Green Button. It will lead you to a form that can be filled out. Please do not rush through the form, take your time to fill out the form to avoid mistakes. After you have finished, read and accept the Terms and Condition of that particular GB click on "submit". You have now entered the GB! Your request will be added to the GB Participation List within the GB Club and you will see a confirmation email in your PMs and be added to the GB Club.  If you have not been added to the GB Club within 24 hours of submitting the GB form, you should post in the release thread asking the staff in charge for assistance.

Once you are in the GB Club, you should follow the “GB Information – FOLLOW THIS TOPIC” topic found in the “GB Information and Questions” section of the club and make sure you receive notifications of new posts in settings so that you do not miss important information and payment requests.

If you submit a request in a "Pre-registration" GB, you simply reserve a spot on the GB, and you will be able to choose your desired Edition at a later point with a revised new form after all Editions are known.

When filling out the GB Forum there might be several different Request Types :

• NEW - Please choose NEW if you have not already joined the GB at any prior time.
• ADDITION - Please select ADDITION if you have already joined that GB previously and want to ADD an item , like another edition or a MPC (Protective Case).  If you select this Request Type please do not forget to add your List position to make it alot easier for us.
• UPDATE - Please select UPDATE if you have already joined the GB but would rather have a different selection of the Editions that are being offered.  DO NOT use this Type for an ADDITION.  PLEASE NOTE - the UPDATE choice will only be honored by MP as long as we can make the change with the Retailer , if that is not the case we will not be able to facilitate your request to UPDATE. When choosing this Type please also don’t forget to add your List position. UPDATE should only be used in very rare cases.

Please make sure that you keep track of the GBs you have joined. MP does NOT offer any tool to do that. It is the responsibility of the member to know what GBs they have participated in.

Please keep in mind that joining a Group Buy on MP does not give you a 100% guarantee that you will get the desired edition. Even the quantities that are allocated to us have a limit. Please be assured that this only happens in rare cases with extremely limited or popular releases. MP has a very high track record of supplying 100% of the editions requested and if that is not possible we do everything in our power to supply as many members as possible. In such cases, our Premium Memberships will come into play and can maximize your chances of securing the edition(s) you want.  We will also make special announcements on our Groupbuy Threads if necessary.

Since we are a Forum without Advertisement , we have no way to generating revenue to operate MP other than by charging a small service fee currently of $3.50 for each Single edition requested in our GBs. A Boxset/One-Click counts for as many editions as are included in that One-Click or Boxset.  Special Editions like those from MAG will be a $5.00 for smaller Editions and $10.00 for larger Special Editions. These fees will be completely put back into the community, so that MP can continually get better. This will also help to cover situations that might occur in transit from the Retailers to MP , like lost packages from the Retailers and such.  Compensation is not given to us for all things shipped so this is to lighten that burden on us. 

NEW GB OPERATIONAL CHANGES

Payment for a Group Buy

Payment for an item of a Groupbuy as well as the VET (Virtual Entrance Ticket) will be done through the Store .  You will receive the Link to proceed with your payment of either the VET or the GB Item . 

Price indicated in the store upon checkout will include any and ALL costs associated with the GB itself as well as shipping and handling costs from us to you.  If you are an international member and request us to send an item to your HUB Master then you will have to contact them for further shipping of your items. 

Members are liable for any customs, duties and other charges that might be levied by the country of import.  These costs will NOT be covered by MP. For International members that means that there will more than likely be additional charges from your country which you should take into consideration BEFORE joining a Groupbuy.  Please also note, MP is NOT responsible for the actions of international customs, and any packages lost or damaged by international customs are solely the responsibility of the Member.

Please note that in the event of any overpayment, duplicate payment or other payment error that is not ours, a processing fee of $5 will be charged to cover our administrative and bookkeeping costs.  Please also note there will be no refunds and overpayments will be handled via a store credit only (less the processing fee).

Payment deadline

Payment requests will be posted in the GB Club Information Topic.  You MAY NOT receive a PM requesting payment, so please make sure you are following the relevant topics in the clubs of the Group Buys you join.  Payments MUST be made within the deadline set in the Club (typically 72 hours) after which we will at our discretion add a late Fee, amount TBD but no more than $29.  Not paying on time will also constitute a possible demotion in status, loss of Premium Membership and or loss of VET payments. 

We understand that things can get in the way, we expect though at the least to be informed (by sending Masterblaster a PM), doing so does not mean that the late fee will be waived (at our discretion) but it does prevent any further administrative action being taken against your membership. A complete failure to pay up or to inform Masterblaster WILL result in complete loss of membership and forfeit of all VETs paid. 

Groupbuy Shipping Methods

Shipping methods are at our sole discretion, we will always keep your interest at the fore front when making any decision on transit methods and means.  At the moment most Retailers offer direct from them to you .  Sometimes that is not possible and so your request will be sent to your HUB Master, at which time you will be contacted about method and costs of further shipping (combined or not)  No matter what method is used , you and only you are responsible for any duties and fees that might arise as well as risk of loss once the package is delivered to the carrier for shipment to you.  For the avoidance of doubt, title in and to the items you purchase is vested in you once the package is delivered to the carrier.  

Shipping costs from the USA HUB to the member (within the USA) is currently $10.50 for first SINGLE EDITION , $14.50 for OC or BS (Boxset) and each SINGLE Edition thereafter $2.50.  This price includes packaging materials.  These prices include the Payment Processors fees as well.  You will have the OPTION of PREMIUM SERVICES which is explained HERE ! Shipping costs for items from USA to Foreign Countries will be done according to actual shipping costs plus a $2 charge per ITEM for Shipping materials and Handling (example from USA to Brazil, just to name one).

Members will receive a tracking number for shipments,  All items are packaged with care, however,  MP shall not be held accountable for any damage to the packages that occurs in transit, as this is out of our control.  We will of course assist you in solving any issues, should they occur.

Almost Last Notes  

It is understood by all members joining any of our Group Buys that by clicking on 'send' to submit their requests, they place a special order with Media Psychos.

It should also be understood that MP reserves the right not to service any member for any given reason and that any such decision is at our sole discretion.

It should also be understood that beauty shots are provided to MP by retailers to be shared with our community.  Unless otherwise expressly noted, all beauty shots, product details and retail prices are tentative, and retailers may make changes to the artwork, design, finishes, prices and items included with editions up to the time that products are shipped.  MP has no control over the production process but will do its best to keep members informed of changes.  Nonetheless, MP will have no responsibility or liability to members for any variations from beauty shots in finished products and no changes to beauty shots, prices or products subsequent to committing to a group buy will be grounds to withdraw from the group buy.

Please keep in mind that MP is not responsible for damaged goods. We cannot be held accountable for any retailers Quality Control issues. If you receive a damaged product, please contact us by PM as soon as possible and we will try to assist you to solve the situation.  In some cases, we can secure replacements, but most retailers only offer to replace the damaged parts (for example a slip). It is completely up to the retailer how such a situation is handled.  MP has no say in that but will try everything possible to help our members. 

Also, a loose disc is NOT a reason for any retailer to exchange or refund anything.  A minor crease or printing error is also no reason to request a refund.  Most Retailers know about the printing errors and will respond accordingly (most the time with a replacement slip.

In the unlikely event that you receive a package in badly damaged condition, members must take photos immediately.  It is imperative that some of the photos are taken before the box is unsealed/unpacked. These photos will be needed for Insurance/Compensation claims.

All MP Team Members help MP during their own free time and without monetary compensation, for the benefit of the whole community and its members.
