Hot Fuzz Nicholas Angel  and Danny Butterworth .

Absolutely one of the best cop movies ever made . All star cast and shows off the bonkers English sense of humour that so often other nations just do not understand.

Djano Unchaned Jamie Foxx and Christoph Waltz .  Leonardo Decaprio and Samuel L Jackson .

The friendship the two of them build to go on a quest to save Broomhilda the fact they almost pull it off the Alvitazaine you cheer and cry at the same time .

On the flip side you have the nefarious relationship with Candy and Stephen leaving the viewer pondering who is the most evil of the 2 a perfect example of a symbiotic existence.

Tucker and Dale Vs Evil .  Tucker and Dale .

Two friends on a DIY Product that is hampered in every way from pesky collage kids who get the wrong impression of our two hero's .  From malfunctioning garden equipment to Bees nothing runs smoothly on the road to true love.

Hello Psychos. Thank you to @extantsrevenge for allowing me to bring to you...

Challenge 18

Sci-Fi Comedy GIF by Turner Classic Movies

“Merchandi$ing! Where the Real Money from the Movie is Made”

This is your chance to show us all your stuff from the movies you love.

Thor Behold GIF by Truly.

We want to see 5 movie-related items along with the movie the item comes from. You are free to use any release you want and whatever merchandise you want! Examples include (but are by no means limited to): toys, clothing, cups, tins, plates, books, posters, statues, and anything else someone threw down cold hard cash to obtain.

While you are allowed to use any media type there are a couple of rules about the items you may use.

Rule 1: The item must have been purchased either by yourself or someone else as a gift. Extras as featured in Challenge 3 are not allowed.

Rule 2: Soundtracks, while awesome, are not allowed as they were the focus of Challenge 9 “Don’t Stop the Music”

Rule 3: you may only use 1 item-type per movie or franchise. As an example, please don’t submit 5 MCU-related Pops and 5 MCU movies or 5 Star Wars statues and 5 Star Wars movies. We want to see variety either in the merchandise or the movie or preferably both.

As a bonus – please tell us why you selected these 5 pieces of merchandise.

Challenge 18: “Merchandi$ing! Where the Real Money from the Movie is Made”

1. Pickle Rick Christmas Tree Ornament – Rick and Morty Season 3: This is my favorite in terms of ridiculousness. It was a gift from my brother and sister-in-law who definitely know that we aren’t Christian and don’t celebrate Christmas but BIL recognized the awesomeness of the concept. Pickle Rick is displayed year-round in our household but if we did have a tree I would love to hide the pickle every year.

373910571_picklerick.thumb.jpg.d8cbf74a657421bafe1df2b409cb7110.jpg

2. Dolemite bobblehead – Dolemite: I love Rudy Ray Moore and while I don’t think this bobblehead nailed his likeness, I love the fact that I have a Dolemite bobblehead with a spring activated arm that enables "Bone-crushing, Skull-splitting, Brain-blasting" punching action!

dolemite.thumb.jpg.087ae6c57803b70f4faa0d59e25beda9.jpg

3. Lo-Pan POP! – Big Trouble in Little China: my main focus in collecting is actually 1/6 scale figures but I have a few POPs for accent pieces throughout my man-cave. POPs are everywhere and it seems like everyone and everything has a figure so I am pretty discerning when I buy one. Other favorite POPs include my Balrog and Sir Mix-A-Lot (his base is a butt).

lopan.thumb.jpg.66abe9be63e4b7aaa896494d80c0a7b3.jpg

4. NECA They Live Action Figures – They Live: another John Carpenter entry. The Frank figure was a Shout factory webstore exclusive that I bought with the pictured copy of They Live (themed candies or mints came with him as well). I picked up the alien 2-pack at FYE on sale and only recently bought George Nada. Something ironic about the messaging of the movie and my purchasing of these figures along with multiple copies of the movie (yes, I have the 4K steel too).

TheyLive.thumb.jpg.483b1228cf337c8828c7f82bc11b5db1.jpg

5. Death Star Cheeseboard – Star Wars: of course a Star Wars item is on my list as that franchise is what launched movie merchandising. Spaceballs called it decades ago and it’s still true, Star Wars is literally on anything and everything. I would imagine most Star Wars fans would be able to complete this challenge with Star Wars merch alone. Off the top of my head I have Star Wars themed cups, shot glasses, chopsticks, posters, books, coasters, clothes, night-light, clapper, band aids, re-usable grocery bag, pez dispenser, Christmas stocking, and of course multiple toy lines. I chose to highlight my cheeseboard as I think this one for me most highlights the depths of Star Wars merchandising. I don’t even use the thing cause the cheese gets stuck in the Death Star details!

Thanks for the awesome challenge, @Mrdugan

Here are some of mine:

1. T-800 Endoskull Bust - "Terminator 2: Judgment Day"

I'm a sucker for busts, so went with a bust of one of my favourite protagonists from one of my favourite films. This bust pairs nicely with the other editions I have of this film containing the "Endoarm" as well as the microprocessor chip.

20220717_042441.thumb.jpg.8d3888eb30ee2a0de7f16db9613da255.jpg

2. Shark Tooth - "Jaws"

A unique collectible from what is probably my favourite premium release of last year.

20221027_201156.thumb.jpg.2ac4ddd5ceaa1f301d549b367054e475.jpg

3. Posters - "Back to the Future" Trilogy

This release was jam-packed with cool little collectibles and the posters included alongside this release were icing on the cake. This release also pairs well with the Flux Capacitor + Time Circuits box sets of the trilogy that I also own.

20221111_205109.thumb.jpg.0ec78d043110d790520074e766165134.jpg

4. Matchbox - "The Untouchables"

Once again, I really like the collectibles that Cinemuseum includes alongside their releases, and this one is no exception. A cool collectible from a memorable moment in the movie.

20210805_163016.thumb.jpg.4c910dd2395c81977465ebcf66278eb1.jpg

5. Poster + Red Pen - "Shaun of the Dead"

It was a nice touch for EverythingBlu to also include collectibles related to the movie with the addition of the red pen alongside the poster.

Thanks for the new challenge @Mrdugan. This hopefully results in some amazing submission, I'm very curious about what we will see.

I could have filled this with Statues, but I thought I try to use 5 different merchandise typs.

Here are the 5 movies I choose to present items for.

307327330_Challenge181.thumb.JPG.6d0ad6909130f57b243faf77d45e3d4b.JPG

First we have an Alien Diorama from Sideshow. This was I think my first Statue I bought. They had a Series for Alien 1-4 and Predator 1-2 and I bought all. You can also hang them on the wall. This is not that big compare to many of the Statues released today but I simply had to get it back then, and I still love it. Looks amazing and the quality is perfect.

1437810233_Challenge182.thumb.JPG.654614c0f34aaab5ac525ed765e53357.JPG

Now we have a Hot Toys Terminator Endoskeleton Premium Format figure. I always wanted one and for some reason I never encountered a Statue I really liked, so this figure did the trick for a managable price. Really good item with many great details.

1483304170_Challenge183.thumb.JPG.f682055e11eb4a0767d02006baab7196.JPG

Next we have a beautiful canvas print for Star Wars. Love the Artwork, still have not found a place to hang it up (one of the reasons why I don't buy that many posters/prints). But it always comes in handy when I need a background 😄

2095006506_Challenge184.thumb.JPG.081e6fcb881a1ed37ffb92d08d796025.JPG

Now we have one of my oldest movie collectibles, the stunning Neon Genesis Evangelion Wallscroll (made of fabric). I bought several different over 20 years ago and I still have a few on the walls. This has the poster art for the Death and Rebirth Movie. Perfect art from Yoshiyuki Sadamoto.

137607421_Challenge185.thumb.JPG.4cd71c96fec5d37607c01383322cc265.JPG

And last I present to you my giant plush Totoro 😂, it is fluffy, cute and huge 😃, I bet no one else here has that. There are many Totoro plush out there but I have not yet seen a better version.

Challenge 18

“Merchandi$ing! Where the Real Money from the Movie is Made”

Thanks to @Mrdugan for this great Challenge !

Trailer Ok GIF

Here's my selection of movies in combination with exclusive merchandise.

#01 not really a surprise: The Minions and Despicable Me

The fist time I saw these little yellow beans doing their funny idiot things I instantly loved them because sometimes I behave like them. 🤪

Minion merch:

  • little Minion figures
  • the big one can play guitar and makes Minion voice sounds if you press the button. 😄
  • Minion stress figures. You can press him if you're stressed. Made of memory foam and will get back to normal size. 😇
  • Minion 2in1 shower gel. Thanks to @Gladiator_MV Toni for this really cool Secret Santa present !!! 😎👍

#02 also not a surprise if you know me a little bit: Star Wars

I like Star Wars very much and I have a big collection of Blu-rays (nearly all existing), custom Steelbooks, Steelbook Magnets and also 3,75" Hasbro/Kenner figures, AT-ST Walker as well as ArtFx Kotobukiya Figures. In my living room there also Star Wars posters and custom pictures in frames.

IMG_8405.JPG.4de67b0cf5e93e0c4762719c7c0085c8.JPG

#3 Jurassic Park Movies

I like these adventure/action movies and first one was/is a milestone in movie history. For this there had to be some figures together with the really cool Filmarena editions. I love them and they will never go out of my hands. 🤩

IMG_8397.JPG.7fa6c8c4d9fb2ae0f0677fe84ed5b407.JPG

#4 Terminator

If you like Terminator you also like the Figures from Neca etc. I already have some and my brother keeps giving me presents for christmas and birthdays So my collection is still growing. 😎👍

IMG_8393.JPG.dd6a727818938fea3a7ff878953d5c03.JPG

#5 now to the fluffy ones... Shaun the Sheep

For me "Shaun The Sheep" is as funny and entertaining as my Minions. I like these 5-6 minutes shorts of Shaun the Sheep so much.

In the end something "fluffy" had to sit next to me in the evenings on the couch. So we have big fluffy Shirley and also Bizzer sitting next to me. 😁😎👍

In these things I simply remain a child. And thats good ! 😇😄

Challenge 18 - “Merchandi$ing! Where the Real Money from the Movie is Made”

Thanks @Mrdugan for the challenge!

Hmmmmm… so I could certainly complete this particular challenge in Lego alone, and in Pops, and again in diecast. Sadly most of my Merch (Especially my diecast) is boxed away safely in the loft, patiently awaiting the day I have a room to display it all properly. Or in terms of Lego, is in bits due to space.

Hopefully what I have to hand will satisfy your interest. 😊🤞🏼

Challenge #18.

“Merchandi$ing! Where the Real Money from the Movie is Made”

1.  Need to start off where i started.  Star Wars.  Here I'm showing my small ship collection.  I think I picked these up in the late 90's.  My father bought me a ton of the figures back on my 5th birthday back in the 70's, (divorce guilt?) Favorite toys for years.  Too bad dog like to chew things up too.  Still have a bunch of unopened figures, but those are from the 90's/2000's. So not much value there.

2.  Jaws. Loved this movie from my first screening.   When I saw the Funko release a few years back, I had to pick them up.  "You go in the cage, cage goes in the water, you go in the water. Shark's in the water, our shark."  Always a Robet Shaw fan.

3.  Kevin Smith.  From when I first saw clerks in college.   Fan of the View Askewniverse.  Bought a few items from his website back in the day.  Still have my Silent Bob and Mooby available.   Need to finally get proper 4k releases.

4.  Captain Marvel. Found this movie very entertaining.   Picked up some items related to it.  Couple of shirts and a glass.  These were the first Pop's I ever bought.  Tried to complete the whole run and if not new ones dropped,  I completed it.

5.  Harry Potter.  Bought so many editions of the releases.  Dvd/Hddvd/Blu-ray/4k.  Decided to pick up the Lego Hogwarts Castle.  Only own 4 lego set and this was one.
