On a serious note glad you are ok mate! Cars are designed to crumple/crush up to absorb as much of the impact as possible. Because of this and the expense of repairs the insurance companies are very quick to write them off! 

 

I feel for you mate as the same thing happened to my Mrs just before Christmas 2017. Rear end smash - Cracked bumper, smashed rear lamps and the boot wouldn’t open and car was written off! The person who did it was all apologetic at the time then changed their story once they left the scene. 

 

Anyway @Pbsw23 hope this cheers you up - we’ve all been there with the scally boy racer cars! Here’s a photo of me back in 1998 in my 1.2 Vauxhall Nova! Mustard yellow 🤣🤣🤣

 

 

Man I loved this car - there wasn’t much I didn’t do to this motor! I took the cylinder head off, polished n port the head, fit it with a high lift cam, twin choke Webber carbs, K&N air filter, 4 branch manifold, stainless steel exhaust middle and tail pipe. I had fox racing wheel on it after this pic was taken. The dash would vibrate like hell at 90mph, it spat oil from every gasket and was lumpy as hell on idle! But it went like stink - the induction on it was crazy! Did the Santa pod run in this- Good times 😁

And get this..... My first car was a...... Drumroll please 🥁🥁🥁🥁 A Vauxhall Nova!!! 😂😂😂Mine was Silver, I recall thinking it was Awesome, purely because it had a sunroof 😎 I’ll have to see if I can dig some pics out. I didn’t do anything to mine though, merely ran it until I was told the MOT would cost more than I paid for it, so it went to the scrap yard for £100 😂

 

Not sure what the lunchtime test drive entails yet, but bare in mind my colleague is 16years younger than me, and drives a tuned Fiesta ST.... should paint a picture 😂

 

Fingers crossed its not a write off. I am actually considering getting in touch with my inner boy racer now, and I want her back in one piece! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

This Nova was my second car and got my hands on it when I was 18 years old! Bought it off my work mate for £1000 if I remember right. 

 

I always wanted to get to get a Nova GTE - with the 1.6 ltr engine. That or a Peugeot 205 1.9 but it never happened! They were about 6k and outta my price range!🤣

seems last few weeks have baked roasted and cooked in workshop from 28-33c and sweated where didn't know i could sweat either

and now friday night is here have got a few new thatchers haze to try in the fridge

I have the UHD Schindler's List in the pipe via MP (of course) but just for giggles thought I would try for the HDZeta set.

I was well logged on before release (5 minutes ago) and by the time I had the set in my cart and ready to pay, it was gone.

That took all of maybe 30 seconds.

I find it difficult to describe my hatred for the circa 1998 server used by HDZeta to run their website.

Oh, @Veum, I know. I'm not too upset about missing Schindler's List, I had ample time to order through MP but this was a trial by me to discover if HDZ had upped their game at all.

No, they have not.

I'm only posting this to let others know that if they want an HDZ edition, I mean REALLY WANT an edition, they best place an order here.

I've already got 3 copies of SL and another in the pipe (and with UHD, the nicest, I might add) so no biggie on the HDZ copy.
