What did you watch last night???

Just had my second viewing of Lost in Translation. It's a slow burn and definitely one of those films you need to be in the mood to view since it explores loneliness and purpose. I'd say I enjoyed just as much the second time around. Murray and Johansson work very well of of each other and their relationship seems natural. I recommend it if you haven't seen it.

So, I've decided that I like Jordan Peele as a filmmaker 🙂.

I watched Get Out last night and I can see why many think it is his strongest film. I unintentionally watched all of his films in reverse order of release and it's interesting to see how he has had developed over the years. Get Out is definitely his strongest and most cohesive story but I love what he has done with dialogue since then. It was strong in Get Out but it improved across Us and Nope. Great flick 👍

I got this Steelbook from Best Buy.  Watched it last night.

Christian Bale, is just . . . . no words.  Russel Crow is a great actor with movie star cred.  Christian Bale is simply a genius that transcends being a movie star.

I could go on and break it down, to painstaking, annoyingly detailed actor jargon, but I'm getting sleepy.

Dan Curtis’ DRACULA  image.gif.e424edcabf13d87fe721a8d25326d0de.gifimage.gif.ca39f756152d9048727382a8b140a964.gifimage.gif.10a50c4749155ebf5c097269d0261c84.gifimage.gif.d0c1ec3f49c50b8922b9b3ddcc74ee9b.gifimage.gif.cd11a99739ad1605e3b469d0d88ddc59.gif

Dan Curtis' Dracula (Blu-ray)

This is one of my top adaptations of Bram Stoker’s DRACULA done by one of my fav directors Dan Curtis. Jack Palance is an excellent DRACULA for me and the cinematography as well as the production sets are top notch, love this film.

We took a break on Friday, but on Satudary was Universal's Dracula from 1931, starring Bela Legosi and directed by Tod Browning.

Last night was Universal Monsters' Frankenstein from 1931 starring Boris Karloff and directed by James Whale.

What is nice is watching these on 4K, as you really get to see better clarity without the removal of film grain. Universal did very well on this set.
