Great mail day yesterday! Love the JW2 lenti! I didn’t realize there is a bit of spot texturing on the back of the slip, so that was a nice surprise! Really like the full slip A for Manta’s Kingsman, but I think I still prefer full slip B. Haven’t had a chance yet to open Kimchi’s Snowpiercer, but the texture looks great. That sandy feel☺️

First up, I received an incredible delivery from my friend @Bones today;

It's the new RZ trilogy Steelbook from Target, which I had no chance of getting here in Canada.

I was unaware that it came with a nice PET slip for it, which I wish for goodness sake ALL Steels came with!

I thought I'd show it here accompanied by an older Steel from Germany, which also collates some of Rob's films into a sweet combo (but does not have 3 From Hell).

No bud, I ordered it off a friend on ebay.

Also, it's a fullslip scavano case with ameray edition- no steelbook I'm afraid.

Did you read the other thread @Veum ? Kimchidvd have announced there's a slight misprint....

They misspelled Gentlemen and there's a M instead on N Under Colins foot 😨

Yes, I was aware of the faux pas but had ordered it regardless and it is displayed in my last set of pics placed here (above). 🙂

It's not a dramatic concern to me and as I now have the film to watch this week-end, all is well.

I saw you mentioned in your Horror Thread, that you enjoyed "The Entity".

I'm glad.

Though the subject material is of course, quite disturbing, I think the film was shot incredibly well, so that the implications were evident without delving too far into the perverse, like I fear film-makers today would feel was necessary for a theatre of film-goers with jaded outlooks and to a degree, numbed sensibilities toward horror films.

They are the "Happy Death Day" films (1 & 2) and I was fortunate they arrived cased by the novel Halloween spooky season slip-cases, featured on select fliks this time of year. 😀

In addition, some long overdue Blu replacements for some much loved dvds.  🥰

I just noticed your queries above wrt Hamburger Hill and others.

I'll open it soon and post pics, hopefully tonight.

Previously, I only owned the dvd so I was getting a Blu one way or t'other anyway.

 

I ordered Cloverfield at the same time, principally because that slip-case looked like it might fit my lovely steelbook of the film.

Now that I have it, I may leave well enough alone, heh.

I'll take a pic of it and my 'attempt' at the same time as the HH pic.

By tomorrow, at the latest.

I very much enjoy A River Runs Through It and am fortunate enough to own that edition as well. 😀

 

I am a strong fishing enthusiast (Canadian, go figure, heh) and I have a few pics in my "Lair" of some lovely trophy catches (I think I do....)

I tried fly-fishing on many occasions and have some rather nice tackle but I've been a spinning reel fisherman most my life and prefer it.

I know the film has a great deal more to say than simply fishing but the shots when they're out on the waters is glorious and always gives me the itch to hook my boat up to my truck and go, heh.
