Been raining since last night but it looks like the really impressive storms are going to land on us in the next couple of hours.  Wish us luck!

 

Speaking of luck: my sister works at a Walmart in a small town in Kentucky, so I asked her to keep her eyes peeled for those Mondo titles.  I can’t stress to you enough that this Walmart sucks (sorry sis!), when I’ve been there in the past they had a handful of DVDs and that was it for movies.  She just texted me with “are these the ones you’re looking for?”

 

 

 

More props to my sister: she gave me a heads up on the imminent arrival of 5 PS5s that first Christmas when they were really hard to find.  Took a day off work, stood in line all day (they planned to put them on the floor at 3pm for whatever reason, and word leaked out) and eventually Santa was really good to Heywood Jr that year.  I was the 3rd person in a line of at least 50 people, who obviously didn’t have an inside source as reliable as mine.

Today I am thinking about things I see around me, at work, in my neighbourhood, and I am more and more convinced that the biggest failure in our society today is education. People have less and less culture to appreciate what is different, less and less capacity to make an effort to improve things, and less and less calm in everything.

 

Everything is either attacking or defending, on social networks, in forums, in the bar, everywhere.

 

Everything seems to be getting worse and worse.

 

Thank goodness we have this thread left!

Starting my car, on my way.  Had a bowl of Cocoa Pebbles this morning.

 

So within a week of a brief Chinatown showing in theaters, the 4K disc was announced.  My local anniversary showing of North by Northwest is on 5/19, hopefully they’ll announce the disc shortly thereafter.

Today I found out that a colleague who left the company left a lot of things undone. Unfinished business from many months ago.

 

It's great how good people are for a laugh, and how hard it is for them to work.

 

It's one of those days that makes you want to rip someone's head off.

 

The lucky thing is that I'm a peaceful guy, zero violence, and in the end I'll clean up all myself for the greater good.

 

But how I wish I had a button to push right now and it would fall into the Star Wars rubbish disposal.
