Watched The Illusionist last night great film. I would recommend if you haven't seen it, also if you like films what keep you guessing. 

Would be a good film to get premium treatment. I also had to buy the German import from amazon as this has never been released on blu ray in the uk for some reason.

Watched “How to Catch a Killer” on Britbox tonight & I can not believe how screwed up the justice system was/ is in Swindon Wiltshire, South West England. As Senior investigating officer Steve Fulcher was found not to have followed procedures on the treatment of suspects, meaning Christopher Halliwell’s confession was inadmissible in court...

 

Even though officer Fulcher got the killer to show him where the murders happened & this ruined his career as a police officer as well as his family life... just too unbelievable! 😡

 Just Friends,  for a first time viewing. Was a simple 90min watch on Netflix (So rare these days. Everything has to be at least 120mins long for some reason). Exactly what you would expect it to be but had some good giggles along the way. Anna Faris was as Mental as usual. No shame that one. 😂

 

 

…followed by The Lost Boys (lost count how many times I’ve seen this). A classic moment we all encounter when we switch Netflix off, just as some familiar movie music & starting credits begin. One minute you’re off to bed, the next you’re staying up for some unplanned rewatch of a classic. 😁

In complete agreement with you mate! Amazing that it hasn’t been given the treatment it deserves really. Along with other Vamps such as Van Helsing, Underworlds & of course the Blade Trilogy.

 

I hadn’t even realised that she was in it before putting it on, but Im never opposed to watching a Faris flick.😁

At the manor house he meets his father's assistant Igor who has a surprise for him: the monster his father created is still alive, though in some sort of coma. Wolf's initial attempts to re-animate the creature seem to fail but when Peter says he saw a giant in the woods, it appears he's met success. When people are mysteriously killed in the village there is little doubt that the monster is responsible...

In celebration of their 50th anniversaries this year, I decided to revisit these two classics back-to-back last night.

 

 

 

Both are amongst my favourite films of all time and helped to redefine not only police or crime thrillers/procedurals, but action films since. 

 

This year, they share their 50th anniversaries alongside A Clockwork Orange and Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, both of which are seeing new life on 4K.

 

I hope we hear something for these two soon.

A sympathetic psychiatrist, Dr. Garth (Otto Kruger), encourages her to "face her fears," but when she lures a pretty young streetwalker to her room to model for a painting, the temptation of her fleshy offering proves too much to overcome. Niemann has the hunchback kill the owner, and then resurrects Dracula. Later, Niemann and the hunchback encounter a gypsy caravan where Daniel falls in love with a beautiful gypsy girl. She travels with them to Frankenstein's ruined castle, where they find Frankenstein's monster and the Wolf Man frozen in ice. Niemann thaws them out, finding the Monster fairly inert and the Wolf Man changed back to the tormented Larry Talbot. To Daniel's misery, the gypsy girl falls in love with Talbot. Meanwhile, Niemann promises both the hunchback and Talbot new bodies...

Dracula arrives at Dr. Edelman's office asking for a cure to his vampirism. However, this is a ruse by Dracula to get near Dr. Edelman's beautiful female assistant and turn her into a vampire. When Dr. Edelman's first attempt fails, Talbot tries to commit suicide by jumping off a cliff, but instead finds a network of underground caves where Frankensteins Monster is in stasis.
