I am so sorry being late for Challenge 7...I was away from home until yesterday. 

 

But with today actually being Halloween, I'm hoping I can still squeeze these in for your consideration.

 

Film that creeped me out when I was younger was Amityville Horror.  Something about it being "based on a true story", I'm easily spooked .  Still makes me think if I wake up in the night....I have to check, is it 3.15am??!

 

I'm a fan of classic horror and...being from the UK...most definitely HAMMER!!

 

1.  Amityville - 4K Vinegar Syndrome (actually, this arrived today....👻)

 

2. Hammer Volume One - Fear Warning.  Classy blu ray box set from Indicator.  I have all six.  I wish they'd do more!

 

3. Eurocrypt of Christopher Lee - Another classy release, this time from Severin.  I need to buy the second set...

 

4. The Reptile - Another Hammer Blu Ray.  I have a few singles like this...

 

5. Wolfman - Ltd Steelbook.  Love the design and these B&W classic monster movies are the best...

One Clicks are sorted in one cabinet. Premium singles are sorted in another, Generic Steelbooks are sorted in another, and Amaray in another.

All Sorted by Alphabetic. It's a pain to keep it organized by alphabet lol.

I organize my collection multidimensionally; by both chronological release date and retailer. Horizontally by title (release order) and vertically by retailer.

I.e. My top shelf is all Blufans, next shelf down is WeET, then Filmarena. From to left to right, I have matching titles (as best as possible).

I display my collections by retailers. Since the locations of bluray marks or film studio marks vary from retailer to retailer, i prefer to display them in groups of the same retailers 

 

Red : moulin rouge (blufans)

Orange : chunking express (nova)

Yellow : amadeus (hdzeta)

Green : happy together (nova)

Pale blue : jaws (hdzeta)

Dark blue : inception (film arena)

Pink : her (manta lab)

Orange - "A Clockwork Orange" (Why yes, I did just get it!)

Wanted to do it with only Disney steelbooks (since I own a steelbook version of every animated Disney movie that has gotten one) and it turned out to be pretty easy.

 

• Red: The Aristocats

• Blue: Moana
• Indigo: Aladdin
• Violet: The Hunchback of Notre Dame

As for organization, I have 3 main shelves. One is for Disney stuff (MCU in release order, Star Wars in timeline order, and the aforementioned Disney steelbooks alphabetical). One is for normal steelbooks (alphabetical) with a shelf for Criterions. The last shelf is for premium releases (alphabetical).

I used to organize by retailer . . . then I switched to by actor, which was fun.  Now I basically separate by protective cover.  I usually try to put my more favorite editions in MPC - but that's tough, because most of my premiums are MPC - so econos i arrange by MPC and then my lesser favorite ones are in whatever else cases

it took a long time to get - largely because I saw it priced low somewhere and then wouldn't buy it until it was about that price.  I will say, I have the lenti slip but I don't even keep it in there since the WEA is amazing

So… here we are again and another Challenge ….. #8 is here and  thanks to @Trianna for presenting this colourful new challenge . 

As for arranging my Editions.. this is mostly by Retailer for premiums And by Genre for Basic steels … Marvel all together as one ..

@Trianna Very nice challenge #8. Their are so many colours on the spines but never before realize to arrange them like a rainbow.

 

At the beginning I also used the alphabetic order, later with separation of the editions from the premium retailers. But at the end now, new editions will be stored whereever a place is available.

i forgot to mention how are my movies stored. 

 

since i begin buying dvds, all my movies have been stored in alphabetic order. anyway, as the number of movies is increasing, there is not enough room for them in the bedroom (also "thanks" to the premium collections that are much wider than steelbooks and amarays. so a lot of my movies is stored under the bed and they are waiting for my bedroom to get rearranged. there i am planning to have some special spots (like marvel, christopher nolan films, james bond films, maybe films for kids, harry potter films etc) and the rest will stay in alphabetic order. 

at least, this is my thinking right now.
