A few days ago I read that HBO has removed Westworld and other HBO series from its platform. This is striking news, because normally there was a belief that those movies, TV series or documentaries that were "original" in a platform would always be available. But now we see that this is not true.

 

What's a Westworld fan to do now?

 

Suddenly you may be unable to watch your favourite film or TV series. Or have to pay again somewhere else.

 

I don't know what the would do, but .... as always, long live the physical format!

Do you have any insight to why they did it?  Is there any reason other than money/licenses?

Something about a merger and taxes, they plan to license some shows to other ad supported (like Tubi or Pluto) streaming services instead.
