Don't quite get how the steelbook could be damaged whilst being inside the Titans of Cult steelbook protective printed covers they do...? 

 

Does the fault lie with Titans of Cult 

(perhaps manufacturing fault at source) 

OR 

 

Zavvi.. The item arrived in a doubly jiffy bag..

For me the fault lies with the manufacturers, the sheath is intact and there is no reason to think that the steelbook could be damaged, wondering if they have a quality control that verifies the production before sheathing !

Thanks buddy I agree.. 

The outer steelbook protective printed cover is 100% intact, and  is in no way heavily impacted or damaged that would suggest it caused the damage to the steelbook 

 

Leads me to think the damage was somewhere on the production line 

 

Very shoddy and bloody  awful from Titans of Cult.. sorry for the language 

 

Even premium retailers have had issues with scratches (Weet for example), but a whole flipping dent and steelbook damage? Not acceptable

I do not like having to go through all the trouble of getting a replacement (these retailers need to package our steels better for the 💰 we have to pay for them) & just for me seeing yours I probably would just keep it!

Sorry, the odd scratch or paint scruff I can tolerate, but not an ugly and visible dent like this.. If you look at the back of the steelbook, the whole area adjacent to the dent is uneven, curved and damaged 

 

Horrible show..

Think that looks like a fault in production mate. Would have damaged the outer packaging if it was done in transit. It shouldn't have made it past quality control tho.

 

I'd get straight onto Zavvi and get something done.

This has been a popular release and is sold out in a lot of places. Hopefully Zavvi will get cancellations and save you one - tho Ive heard they can be unhelpful and try offer a slight discount (10%).

 

Best thing may be to buy another copy if you see a re-stock and return damaged one to Zavvi if you can't live with it?

 

 

Also the front packaging looked a bit pink/red in your photos....

Is that right or just the lighting?

I understand your point of view, but if I had this kind of concern even considering that it is complicated, I would make a request for an exchange, if only for the principle and history to make them understand that even for what they can consider as a minor defect, it is not minor for their customers !

There is no way that this is acceptable, it would be one thing if this was an eBay sale where you bought it at a discounted price knowing there was a defect. But why should anyone accept this regardless of the hassle. These things aren’t cheap, especially when you add in all the extra fees Shipping, Taxes, Customs Fees, price of the merchandise. Return that thing and get a new one. The only way there going to improve is if you bring it to there attention.
