Ok, you could cross out the title and write „Joka“ over it instead of „Joker“. Then you don't have any E... 🤣

The Villains!

Villains.thumb.JPG.780cb96db1c9b567e4783492d3ab779b.JPG

Villains are an integral part of the entertainment world, often they are the reason why we especially enjoy a movie or series.

Without a great villain, no Hero will be able to shine.

So this week we want to give the villains the spotlight they deserve.

Please show us 5 different editions from your collection that feature  your 5 favorite villains.

Also tell us which villain is your absolute favotite and why.

- Every type of packaging is allowed.

- It is okay if the villain is not featured on the cover. If that is the case, please also include a gif of that villain.

The picture shown above is from the website https://screenagewasteland.com/ which compiled a Top 100 villain list (in case you need inspiration for your selection).

Here is my list of favorite villains, it is heavily influenced by my love for Sci-Fi and how much these impressed me when I was growing up with them.

Challenge30.thumb.JPG.72979dace22e3e6a8d5a2188274594d2.JPG

- Michael Myers is my favorite Horror villain and even when I don't care much about Horror these days, this iconic creation is a worthy villain and Halloween 1, 2, 4 & 5 are great films.

- Khan Noonien Singh appeared in 1 Episode of the original Star Trek Series and then he came back in Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan, an absolute amazing opponent for Kirk and Crew. Ricardo Montalban is perfect as Khan.

- The Terminator T-800 the ultimate machine villain. The T-1000 from T2 is also terrific, but for me the original classic Schwarzenegger model is so great.

- The Xenomorph (Alien) is my favorite movie creature of all time and such a strong baddie which also gave birth to one of Cinemas greatest heroes Ripley.

- Star Wars has many great villains, but non greater than Darth Vader. This legendary figure is for me the best villain ever created for a movie. And he has such a tragic history.

My all time favourite villain is the Joker (I used one of my Dark Knight editions as Heath Ledger was the perfect Joker interpretation in movies). Batman is my favorite Hero and he has the best rogues gallery of all the Comic Heroes with the Joker towering above all. Just read the original Batman: The Killing Joke (the Animated movie is a disgrace), the "A Death in the Family" Story from Batman 426-429 or Batman: The Dark Knight Returns and you will understand my #1 choice. Another great version of the Joker can be see in the Batman: The Animated Series (voiced by Mark Hamill).

Sadly the Joker is used much to often these days and many of his appearances in comics today or his use in film (Suicide Squad or that Joker movie (no real Joker seen in that)) are far from good and what Joker should be.

Challenge #30: The Villains! Thanks to @extantsrevengefor this diabolical challenge.

ikml2Ul.jpeg

5. Thanos- Expertly played by Josh Brolin, he is easily the best MCU villain. I like him because, like all good villains, he believes what he's doing is right.

dWR0Mm1.jpeg

4. Lee Woo-jin- Played by Yu Ji-tae. I don't think that there's ever been a more sinister plan devised in the history of movies.

JmOIWGN.jpeg

3. Kevin- Played by James McAvoy. I'm still salty that McAvoy didn't win Best Actor for this role, which I consider to be right up there with the performance by Heath Ledger as one of the best villain performances ever.

0iqOM0v.jpeg

2. The Joker- Played by Heath Ledger. The definitive Joker performance. Every reaction, word, and emotion was spot on.

yj53TdB.jpeg

1. Darth Vader- Played by David Prowse/Hayden Christiansen/James Earl Jones. The most iconic villain, in the most important trilogy in the history of movies. People sometimes forget how menacing and brutal the character was. I love ol Darth so much that I got this tattoo of him:
