I feel underwhelmed by this one click.  I already own the HDzeta and Blufans one clicks.  All the artwork is reused.  Might get the DLA slip for the steelbook.  Will likely only get the DLA slip for all editions.  Just don't feel the need to purchase anymore one clicks with redundant images.  The problem of the spine means I might decide to not buy anything.

I’m happy with this one click.

As someone who is newer to premium editions I was not able to acquire the HDzeta OC nor the Blufans OC. 
 

My only critique would be I dislike what Manta is doing with the bat symbol on the lower spine. What if I wanted to only purchase a full slip? Would I be forever subjected to a eyesore?

Even though I had no intention of getting this release, I am quite annoyed by this 'artistic choice'.

Many collectors who don't buy OCs will be now 'forced' to buy an edition whose aesthetic appeal may seem lacking or incomplete. Those who favor the middle one might not mind too much, but those who prefer the other two slips (both of which are superior imo) will have an edition sporting an odd looking spine.

It's not like Manta need to give an incentive to collectors to buy the whole set, they know this trilogy will sell out in seconds... which is why I find this a very odd choice on their part.

Thanks for the breakdown. I know there's only so much art available, but Manta did little to differentiate itself from the other releases. But this is great for those who never had a chance to purchase the other sets at a decent price. However, if you own the old sets, particularly the Blufans, and you buy this, you're basically buying the same thing twice.

exactly why i've gone for the fullslip, could end up with an odd looking arrangement after you purchase all 3 films otherwise. I'd have thought they'd have put all 3 with the left part of the symbol for the first film but then it wouldn't look as good for OC owners i guess.

If I were to only get one of the slips and therefore an incomplete symbol, would I be upset? Meh. It's not very prominent, and it doesn't ruin the slip itself. This teeny tiny detail is not an attempt by Manta to "force" people to get the OC, come on people, have a little perspective.

What may seem trivial to some, can seem less so to others. I didn't say Manta forced people to buy the OC as they obviously know all editions will sell out anyway.

I get that, but it is very much a small flourish to try and jazz up an otherwise unremarkable release. Like @extantsrevenge pointed out, almost all the art is recycled, and that is way more annoying. I personally don't like the color scheme either, but of course that's what BB always had.

 

Now, if the OC boxes tried to do a multi-part bat symbol where you need to spend close to a grand just to complete, THAT would be terrible.

I can’t really blame Manta Lab for the artwork they decided to use. While it may appear in releases by other premium retailers, there’s only so much artwork that is commissioned by a studio for a film.

It wont be for a bit, this releases preorder hasnt launched yet! Dark Knight will likely be Manta Exclusive 54, and open for preorder either later this month or early next month.
