I've come across a new release that has not received much press however for those familiar with this Sci-Fi Classic Film, I think it merits a look.

One of the earliest of the "Bad Guys from space" fliks, it's been heralded as the precursor for almost every Earth Invasion spectacle that has followed in its very large footprints.

- Invaders From Mars (1953)

- William Cameron Menzies (Director)

- Ignite Films ( new restoration release)

- Special Media Book (either 4K or Blu-Ray)

- 4K = $55 Usd  / Blu-Ray = $44 Usd

- Direct purchase (accepts PayPal)

Good morning, all. Thanks for the well wishes.

 

We're watching this one VERY closely. It won't hit us directly since we're on the east coast but there are a couple of scenarios where it would put us on the "dirty" side of the storm after a short jaunt across the state. My main concern is one palm tree in front of the house (~5ft away) that is diseased and has a weak point facing the house. That sucker is heavy and would do some serious damage if the winds snapped it.

 

I also have some family in the Tampa area so really hoping this thing weakens a bit before getting close to land

Yeah, hoping the best for you and your family over the next few days.  

 

I spent a lot of my childhood in Sarasota, FL, so monitoring these storms is normal.  My mom and sister still live there.  We have dodged every major storm for 40 years.  Talked to my sister yesterday, she's in law enforcement, and they are preparing for the worst.  I feel badly hoping it goes north and hits some place else.  The west coast of FL seems to escape a lot of these storms, not this one, though.  Best to all who have family and loved ones down there.

These days diving into my editions for the MP Challenge I have taken in my hands editions that I haven't touched for a long time, that I haven't smelled, that I haven't opened.

 

I even opened a post with some old editions; today forgotten, but no less memorable for that. Gems it's my favourite word for this.

 

I think I'm going to be a very happy guy with my collection. Even more than now.

 

I hope that others also have this feeling of pride. I love my collection.

Good afternoon/morning/night everyone! 😆 I was working through @Basil's tutorial about setting up notifications for the clubs.  I've been 'Pending' with a request to join the Notice of New Group Buys club since it was first created, yet I see it now has 41 members.  I'm wondering if my request was missed?  I understand this will replace the Notice of Group Buys in Update Phase thread, which I have found extremely helpful, so I very much want to set up notifications for this club to make sure I don't miss anything!  🙏

I am also pending. It's my understanding that they are still working on it. Some very quick individuals may have been able to get in at the very beginning. Basil mentioned "When we start to let people in" in that tutorial and that's where my understanding is coming from.

 

In the meantime, just make sure you have the proper notifications set up for your existing group buy clubs. I'm sure they'll start accepting people when they are ready.
