Hi guys, just thought I’d move the Kimchi/WeET conversation here rather than clog up the new arrivals thread with our waffle. 😂

 

So I can tell you that WeET did those Kimchi releases before they went solo, so it’s not like they weren’t concentrating on their own stuff at the time. I am not sure if they were responsible for Kimchi’s GotG Vol.2 release, which was a WWA wrapped in a Lenti slip. But if they were, then the fact that they then did their own release with a WEA would give you hope for them to do a WeET Exclusive Dr. Strange. Personally I think the Kimchi/WeET collaboration is stunning (As is the Blufans WEA Steel) so I’m in no hurry for that. End Game, Ant-man & the Wasp & IM & Thor Trilogies need tackling IMO. 😁

 

I have the WeET IW and of course have opened mine, and I can tell you in terms of scratches it was flawless. Certainly no scratches on my copy. Not sure if that helps you or not, but just thought I’d throw that in there. I have to say I was a little disappointed with the finish though. The perfect IW Steel would be WeETs artwork in a Blufans/Manta finish. I have my Blufans WEA on display, but it’s one of my least favs for sure. I was going to swap it for my WeET one, but it just lacks that rich glossy finish. ☹️

 

Also worth noting, that WeET did Kimchi’s Home Coming slips too. Which pairs up nicely with Far From Home and Venom slips 😉👍🏼

Good move! Ya I actually have Filmarena’s Homecoming and Far From Home arriving soon hopefully. That’s good to hear in regards to Infinity War, my copy of Civil War is flawless. What is wrong with IW’s finish? It looks good in the pics i’ve seen! Wdpung has some FS copies for 89.99 shipped which is the lowest i’ve seen currently. He does warn about the scratches though

I agree, except I am in a hurry because i don't have either of those and they're very expensive 😂

100% agree but in my opinion, it needs more embossing/debossing. Same thing with black panther. Which is why I'm really excited for Captain Marvel. Everyone got excited for the art but I got excited for the embossing template

I have a hard time buying slips with lame steelbooks inside. And I don't know if it's just me but I feel like WWA steelbooks have been getting really lazy lately. If you compare all the WWA steelbooks for far from home with all the WWA steelbooks for homecoming, theres a huge difference

I categorically refuse to buy 'Premiums' that contain such steelbooks. I can abide WWA if the steel is decent (like EverythingBlu Casino) but 💩 like The Shining and Goodfellas will never enter my home no matter what they're housed in.

Ahhh I went with 1/4 slips for those FA Spidey steels. Both of them are Stunning! And Yes I have both on display 😁 But I HATED the fact that FA did that 3 editions make one image with Home Coming. I am also trying/hoping to complete my MCU’s in WeET/Kimchi FS, but with a mix of WEA’s on display.

 

I don’t know how to describe the IW finish, other than it’s not glossy. 😂 It has the same finish as some of the recent WWA Marvels, which is exactly what @Intentcoin was referring to in being lazy.

 

If you compare for example the Original WWA First Avenger, or even the Antman SSD card & GotG Cassette steels, to those that come out today (Black Panther, Far From Home, Ragnarok) the differences is obvious. It’s painfully obvious to see that Marvel steels in particular are just churned out to make some fast cash.

Ok, so I just had another look at the WeET IW just to remind myself, and it’s not a bad finish, but it’s not on par with many other WEA’s which is a real shame, because the first time I saw the artwork I held such high hopes.

Yeah... I do have IW WeET... 

 

But I think it's a different finish... I would not compare those 2...

 

WeET has like a "Metallic Shine / Holofoil kind" finish effect... And a simple but enough debossing for me... So I do like it very much. 

 

 

The IW Blufans it's definitely Glossy finish. I do like it very much too because I totally love that artwork (Wich was used in a Beautiful WeET Lenticular) 

 

I do not have IW Blufans... Yet...
