The Green Mile (UHD Club UC#26 (Colored Wooden Box) (4K UHD + Blu-ray)

 

WOW!  This is really something else.  My first UHD club wooden box edition, I was unsure what to expect...

 

The colours on the outside are very bright and sharp. 

The artwork inside and out is superb. 

Loads of cards, 3 x posters, nice booklet...what's not to like??!  I am really REALLY happy with this.

I assume there´s no need for this one, Üdi. The 4k UHD seems to be a worldwide disc with german and mandarin audio everywhere.....  @CAYENNE-FAHRER

So the Blufans release should have german audio on the 4k, not on the blu-ray though.

Whoa, he totally looks like Colin Farrell! There is indeed something slightly off with his rendition there. Such an awesome edition though, I'm super jealous.

As promised yesterday (sorry I didn't upload it at that time) I decided to open the OC of Edge of Tomorrow BN (just arrived a few days ago).

 

 

The OC luckily has no visible damage, so I'm happy with it. It is true that as has already been said, the interior image is of low quality, a real shame and incomprehensible.

 

The editions do not have any blows, scratches or things like that, except for some holes or breaks in the protective plastic of one of them, it is not pleasant but nothing worrisome.

 

The FS and SL look good, the problem is of course with the DL.

 

The back is unrecognizable, even though it is an almost empty image; totally blurry, very disappointing.

The front is not well implemented, especially with regard to Tom's exosuit, since it is observed as it stands out in front of the title and causes an unpleasant effect, which bothers the eye if observed for a while. Also some parts of the exosuit look too big.

 

Undoubtedly the best seem to be the MP Case, the 1/4 looks very nice, with a very good relief.

 

I suppose that at another time I will open all the editions and judge the contents.

Need some feedback as to how the Black Adam Box is , is it good quality ?  The Retailer has made claim that they have IMPROVED tremendously on the quality and would like to hear from the members what they think ?!? @deckard99

those are the only 2 where the special item is outside of the box .

Okay, so my honest opinion is that the Black Adam (Raro Film one-click) is a definite couple of steps up in improvement from their Nightmare On Elm Street box. First of all, the one-click box itself has that beautiful sort of rubberized texture, along with some *stunning* spot gloss effects:

 

I also didn't realize until opening this set that one of the slips has an Amray version of the movie, while the other has the WWA steelbook. Both sets include the same booklet with extensive essays in both Italian and English, and the Collector's Envelope has some of the most beautiful cards I've seen in any set, with much spot-varnish/gloss on every card. However, the paper they are using for the envelopes and cards seems to be a little on the thin side compared to most other premium editions. I'd be curious what other collectors think....

 

Here are just a few examples of the otherwise very beautiful cards (apologies for my poor photographic skills in this low light):

In short, this set is much better value than the Nightmare On Elm Street box (even though you do get 7 films in that set), but I honestly think this one is priced about $100 higher than it should be. Again, I'd be curious what other collectors think about this set.
