@hal56Never heard of hardware is it good?

That's some nice art for escape from new York!!

Hardware is essential dystopian Scifi imho.

Sure, it didnt have a big budget but it still looks great and unique with good practical effects, great score and good cast.

Check it out and if you like it, I recommend watching Dust Devil, another good one from director Richard Stanley.

Also in this category: Death Machine and Screamers

That 20 year old edition of EFNY is still on of my faves. These were the times when Fullsips of regular editions had better quality then many of todays so called premiums.

I know I'm the minority on this forum, but I don't love the Avatar films, not a hater, just don't think they're as great as others.  I got bored and left for a bit, took my time at the concession stand, enjoyed my Peanut M&Ms more than the 5 mins of the movie I missed.

My favorite piece of future tech I wish we had is a hover board. I know we have a hover board right now, but I'm talking about the floating skateboards.

The friendly chess game between HAL 9000 and Frank Poole as a precursor to the much talked about series of games between world chess champion Garry Kasparov and Deep Blue. The supercomputer’s eventual victory in the rematch is considered a milestone in the history of artificial intelligence.

Would like to see Flying cars.  But these jerkass drivers cannot drive on the roads. Would be too many deaths as the vehicles would be crashing into the ground.

Week 33!

I missed last week, and an barely getting this under the wire. Sorry, it completely slipped my mind. I just got got a pair of kittens, so my downtime is down!

And y'all know I loves me some long movies.

Thus, I'm only showing the long movies from the top part of my cabinet. Sorry, none of my fancy sets. Too much trouble to put back up.IMG_20230522_112843.thumb.jpg.5489ae1fc5b2c9dfb8756a51343854e3.jpg

"Berlin Alexanderplatz" (2002) - 183

"Nicholas & Alexandra" - 189

"Beg" - 195

"Hey Ram" (Brilliant movie, worst DVD in my collection) - 200

"Crime and Punishment" (1970) - 220

"Christ Stopped at Eboli" - 220

"Mera Naam Joker" - 250

"Siberiade" - 275

"The Best of Youth" - 360

As for going to the bathroom and missing something important. ...I dunno, I missed most of the whale scene in "Finding Nemo" back when I was a wee lad (Pun not intended). When I go to the cinemas, I'm in it for the long haul, y'all!

The tech invention I want and wish was real is Doc Brown's time machine. I mean, who doesn't wish they could go back in time and undo mistakes they've made in their past? And I have MANY lol.

p.s.  I can't add any GIFs cause none are loading when I hit the GIF button.  Anyone else having this problem?

It is a sidewide problem and affects all member. At the moment it is advised to use the regular giphy website and copy the gifs to us.
