My perspective is humans are the worst thing to happen to the Planet Earth. Your post is describing how humans have always been. There hasn’t been a time in human history where decency was in the 80% or 90%. The 90s & early 2000s I could go without ever knowing other peoples opinions on situations.

Curtosey of @R1s1ngs0n making me think about my fav tracks 😂 Instantly made me think of this conversation. 😆

Good morning everybody.

Today I have been doing calculations about my personal economy and the possibility of buying an edition, and I have realized something terrible for Europeans: the dollar and the euro are now worth the same..

Sin-t-tulo.png

Until not so long ago, €1=$1.10-$1.17.

That was a relief when it came to buying editions outside of Europe, and, obviously, when it came to signing up in GBs.

Now, when an edition is expensive, it's going to be even more expensive for us: we will have to pay more euros. In the small editions it's not so noticeable, but in others, adding the shipping costs, yes. It's a different cost, close to 17% more than one year ago.

And from what I have seen, it's not the only territory where something like this has happened: something similar has happened with our English neighbors or with our Japanese friends, although to a lesser extent.

Decidedly, we are living in turbulent times. Expensive transportation, lack of suppliers, war and instability, and currency volatility.

We'll see what happens. What is clear is that these changes are affecting our financial capacity to afford our beloved hobby.

In a small edition it is not relevant. In a large edition yes. In few editions it is not relevant. In many yes. Each one will do their numbers.

My advice is that you think about your happiness and buy many editions, that you sign up for many GBs. Expenses can be cut from other unnecessary things: gifts to the wife/girlfriend, trips to see the in-laws, concerts that deep down you did not feel like, curtains for the room that nobody ever occupies, and absurd vases that should never have entered the house, and healthy food... which is more expensive.

You're welcome. ;)

Have a good day!

Based off these calculations, it looks like the Global Economy will crash when Lord of the Rings invoices out.
