The package it came in looks like it wouldn't be good but It arrived in perfect condition. UNTILL I stupidly used dull razor knife. Oh boy. . Gonna open later and check behind j card. Well, I hope i didn't damage the rigid slipcase

Howdy folks. Some new receptions today. The only movie I've seen out of these five is Mean Streets. Particularly excited to check out Phantom Thread and All That Jazz.

Phatom Thread is a masterpiece, my favorite PTA by far. I actually ordered the slipcase version with reversible sleeve a couple of days ago.

This film boasts, imo, the best pair of lead performances of the last 10-15 years. It's an absolute treat.

Curious what you'll think about All That Jazz. I think it needed one more round of edits (even though Heim won Oscar for editing? 🤪). It's a bottle episode (awesomely staged in the Palace) that can feel a bit gratuitous, imo. But, it is a rare and compelling look at that Broadway world, and some truly amazing performances.

The Lord of the Rings trilogy by UHD Club. Thanks to @Masterblasterand the crew for the group buy of this beautiful release. The beauty of this speaks for itself. This is the best looking wood boxes that UHD Club have made, even beating out BR 2049 IMO. There are not a ton of extras in each set but the ones that are there are high quality, especially the MP exclusive card/cell(is that what they are called?). The only weakness of this set is the two posters you get for each movie (not pictured) and the lack of any Lenticulars as extra. The posters are of a random scene, but that scene has low resolution/focus. It was just a weird choice.

These are my favorite releases of 2023, narrowly beating out MAG Blade Runner 2049 and Manta Lab Inception. I am really looking forward to what they can do with the Godfather trilogy! #Teamopenitup

Look what came in the mail today:

Another great Manta Lab release. The full slip sparkle effect is really cool, it looks better in person than it does in photos. Love the steelbook too, all that bright color really shines. Huge thanks to the MP team for another successful group buy!
