Okay, so my honest opionion is that the Black Adam (Raro Film one-click) is a definite couple of steps up in improvement from their Nightmare On Elm Street box. First of all, the one-click box itself has that beautiful sort of rubberized texture, along with some *stunning* spot gloss effects:

I also didn't realize until opening this set that one of the slips has an Amray version of the movie, while the other has the WWA steelbook. Both sets include the same booklet with extensive essays in both Italian and English, and the Collector's Envelope has some of the most beautiful cards I've seen in any set, with much spot-varnish/gloss on every card. However, the paper they are using for the envelopes and cards seems to be a little on the thin side compared to most other premium editions. I'd be curious what other collectors think....

Here are just a few examples of the otherwise very beautiful cards (apologies for my poor photographic skills in this low light):

Here are the two slips included:

In short, this set is much better value than the Nightmare On Elm Street box (even though you do get 7 films in that set), but I honestly think this one is priced about $100 higher than it should be. Again, I'd be curious what other collectors think about this set.

Dutifully submitted for John @Masterblaster and Ken @deckard99 by your loyal correspondent….

Thanks Brian, this does indeed look like a step in the right direction!

I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of this—looks really good, that spot gloss is awesome. Honestly, was a little nervous about my one RaroFilm group buy (2001) but this makes me feel better about it. Thanks @Manticore4 for the thorough unboxing and analysis!

Thanks for your thoughts--I don't think my photos do the set any true justice. Other more talented photographers will more than likely post better photos in the coming days, but I was happy to be a pioneering guinea pig for opening my set. The sparkle on the OC box is mesmerizing!

While I don't have any Raro editions this is very nice to read and see to be honest, maybe I'll give them a go in the future when/if they do a title I'm interested in 😎

today, a reception from PLAION

Great Mediabook for High Tension ... with a glossy finish , and 3 discs (4K , 2D + bluray Bonus).

Another horror movie I really like ! So I got an MB for Martyr, High Tension, Eden Lake !

Two movies are missing for my top 5 horror movie ...

- "The Descent" but there is many edition, don't know which are the best for content & quality.

- And the last is "The Hill have Eyes" from Alex Aja, not an easy choice for the MB, I'd like the uncut edition.

Just in: The Matrix Manta Lab FS. Love that they brought back the purple motif from the original poster art, and the spot gloss looks awesome in person. Was late to the party on these, I've got Reloaded coming my way too, and I just joined the Revolutions GB here on MP a few days ago. Already got the Resurrections full slip, so looking forward to completing the collection!

Also grabbed this, with all the UFO talk these days I've got aliens on the brain 🤣 Never seen this, so looking forward to it.

Came back from vacation yesterday to find this little gem waiting for me, courtesy of mon cher @Benoit46 🙏😘

Very pleasantly surprised by the build quality of the slip which is considerably sturdier than what I’m used to from WCL.

Overall, a very nice edition for one of my favorite ever comedies.
