New Anime Blu-ray Release Topic

Starting to catch up on reading some of your older posts. Thanks very much for the Info, the Pics and essentially ALL your contributions to our little corner of the Basement dear friends.

Just cruised by Right Stuf's web-site and I see Aniplex has a new release mentioned;
 

- Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc Limited Edition Blu-ray ( $140 Usd)

That RS price (for the DS EDA Lmtd ed) is $10 more than previous Aniplex titles listed. Not sure if this is a unique case or the future to be.
 

Also, still nothing on Jujitsu Kaisen from RS or Sentai as yet. (sigh).

I did order Fruits Basket S-3 Pt-2 (final) spec ed for my GD from Amz.com yesterday. Meant to order the Film as well, I'll do that tonight.

Also, my hearty GRATZ! to both you and @Squeegie McGee for nabbing those stellar DBS Steel Sets! They're gorgeous! 🤩

Hi @LeGonze (and Friends);

I too need to buy the DS MTA (series) from Aniplex. I was just waiting for something to pair up with it to reach the Free Shipping threshold however, currently I don't even know what that threshold is with RS as there is no statement in that regard on their "Shipping" page.

I also see that even withing the USA, free shipping threshold is now at $75 USD.

So, prices are jacked all over it seems.

The DS EDA is 291 min long, which explains why it's not broken into two parts, as DS S-1 and -2 were 325 min long for ea part (T = 650 min).

So even at the shorter runtime, it's $10 more expensive (compared to just one Part).

I see they've also increased their price on the Vinland Saga LE, now at $172Usd vice their previous price match at Sentai for $160.

It's only $144 at Amz.com but they want $28Usd to ship the damn thing to Canada, sigh. (and Amz.ca doesn't even sell it).

 

They may believe that all these price increases will off-set their new expenditures but honestly, for me, it shys me away from the Lmtd eds and makes me more strongly consider just the amaray eds.

Perhaps there's enough deep pockets out there to circumvent my own decisions, I guess we'll see.

Wow... I also didn't know that!!...

 

I haven't bought it cause I just feel like I would be paying $70 for just Episode 1 (It's the only thing that it's not in the movie, wich I already got, haha). But at the same time I know that my OCD will keep punching until I get the Series edition .

Daamn... Yeah, I know what you mean... It feels harder for us, but I don't think sales will drop too much. I think there are waaay more Anime Fans todays than 3-5 years ago... I guess they're betting on that... Wich does hurt us...

 

Anyways, I definitely pay those $10 extra for DS EDA... That last fight worth it... Ufotable are the best ones in Animation... They proved it right there... Absolutely astonishing... Can't wait to watch it again on Aniplex Blu-Ray!!...

I dunno what the replacement policy is at your purchase source but you may luck in.

Especially if there's any noticeable damage that can be viewed on the Steels before breaking the wrapping off.

I'd certainly give it my best efforts to try though!

I feel for ya my Buddy, been there, had that, it royally sucks.

On a lighter note;

Just watched an excellent analysis of the new Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Anime and it looks pretty damn lit!

Multiple YT Anime Hosts have also given it hearty endorsement.

I'm a big fan of the Team's previous releases, including the relative similarly themed Gurren Lagann.

Definitely one I'll be picking up the Blu for and if any of you have opportunity to view it airing, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. 😀

I got it through crunchyroll. Their packaging was atrocious. Two pieces of cardboard were the only things securing it. They said they'd swap it with a replacement. We'll see how this pans out.

To my knowledge, they're usually pretty good on their word.

Be sure to take a couple pictures of it and the purchase receipt before you pkg it up for return.

They may ask for that and you'll be prepared when they do.

Got in the newest movie from Macross Delta. It is Zentai Live which covers the rest of the Delta TV Series and has the actual finale to the series. It comes Macross Frontier: Labyrinth of Time on the same disc.

 

On the second disc is 3 days of Concerts from Walkure, May'n snd Megumi Nakajima. The book is done nicely and has great gloss and presentation. A insert was in the case for other Macross items (like most promotions) and great wraparound art on the box.

 

Lastly, I got the Amazon Japan Exclusive which came with A3 Clear Poster of Sheryl and Ranka.

I sure did, and for the price it well worth it. I had it sent to my Japan address, so I can get a big box of goodies from there.
