New Anime Blu-ray Release Topic

Hey guys!!

 

I just received Akame Ga Kill Steelbook... 

 

It looks beautiful!! 

 

It's always very hard for me to get good pictures of the "Effects" Steelbooks have when moving them around light... This one looks very very nice!! The Backside really shines with Esdeath and Emperors Teigu...

 

I was totally worth it to wait for a Discount and get this beauty!!... 

 

Very good Anime... Really Liked it... I read somewhere they might release a second part... Hope they do!!... Or at least Akame Zero anime...

I'm in the process of logging them into my db and will take pics when done.

Some pretty cool shows, I'll admit and will hopefully provide info to each that adds interest.

While we're talking about all things anime, I think I picked up a wee too much animes to watch for the Spring 2021 Season 😆

I'll break the pics into 2 groups, the 1st are ones I'll be keeping for me, including;

 

- Clannad + After Story: Sentai, amaray, (I may still get the Steel and send this to my Girls)

- Konosuba: S-2, CE, AtA ed. (one of the funniest Isekai out there, LOVE this incredible series!)

- Release The Spyce: Sentai, CE. (Cute Girls with swords vs spies. Spies don't stand a chance!)

- Vatican Miracle Examiner: Sentai, amaray. (Priests travel world and battle demons. Very cool)

- Monster Musume (Girls): S-1, Sentai, PET Slipped  Steel [gorgeous!] (Guy gets a harem of Monster girls, all jealous of each other, very cute)

- Beyond The Boundary: Sentai, Slipped Steel [huge amount of extras] (cute girls vs monsters, goes bad for monsters) {I have the amarays coming for my Girls}

- Hakuoki: Films 1 & 2, Sentai, amarays. Medieval Samurai wars. (I need to track down the OVAs)

- Violet Evergarden: Funi, amaray, Series + Film (Eternity Doll) (every single frame is a painting, gorgeous) [I have the Funi LE and AtA LE]

- Gugure! Kokkuri-San: Sentai, amaray. (Girl summons a ghost guardian to protect her)

- Gourmet Girl: Sentai, dvd, Series. (Girl gathers some close friends to form a cooking club. Very cute!)

- Celestial Method: Sentai, amaray, Series. (Girl meets an alien from a flying saucer, enlists its aid to battle bad guys)

- Cinderella Nine: Sentai, amaray, Series. (Girls form a school baseball team)

- Grimoire Of Zero: Sentai, amaray, Series. (Cute Witch gets help from a Sentient Tiger battling bad guys. He's more than he seems though)

- Majestic Prince: Sentai, amaray, Series. (High School Kids {Da!) train to pilot giant robots in space to battle bad guys)

- Girlish Number: Sentai, amaray, Series. (Girl wants to become an Anime Voice Actress  but needs a better Manager to land gigs. Funny!)

- Gatchaman Crowds/Insight: Sentai, amaray, 2 Series'. (Superpower Kids battle Aliens, heavy drama)

- Fantasista Doll: Sentai, amaray, Series. (Girl summons magic girls from special cards to fight eeevviiill !)

- Nurse Witch Komugi R: Sentai, amaray, Series. (Girl gains magical powers and becomes a Witch, and a Nurse and a friend to many...awhhh!)

I watch current anime running in Japan every season at a streaming service. Three of the animes on the list, I am also currently following the manga as well before they got an anime run so I'm pretty excited to follow the anime adaptations. Here's what I'm following this season:

Nice list of current titles you have on the go Buddy! 

I have strong interest in some of them myself, including;

- 86, and

- Tokyo Revengers

In addition, "Mars Red" looks like a wild ride I have plans on jumping on.

There are a few titles from last season that also spur my interest, such as;

- Appare Ran-Man

- No Guns Life

- Bofuri

- I'm A Spider

- Jobless Reincarnation

- Re-Zero

- AoT Final, and

- many more  😀

 

As I do not stream anime but await the release of Blus, I'm always behind on the status of said shows but as I have a significant amount of titles sitting in my "to watch" pile currently, I'm fine with that, heh.

I've also been concentrating significantly on getting my Girls up to speed on their collections, so that costs a buck or two as well.

Oh, almost forgot. I was hesitant on jumping on the newest incarnation of Madoka Magica, the new one titled;

- Magia Record Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story

but my research has proved it is indeed worth my time and effort (I'm VERY relieved to discover) so I'll be purchasing S-1 very soon.

There's of course a few others that I'll add to the order, such as;

- Memories

- Devilman Lady

- Dororo

- Revue Starlighht

- ASCENDANCE OF A BOOKWORM

and a few others.

In the interim, I'm still awaiting the arrival of my 3rd box from Sentai (bloody Canada Customs still has it) and my box from AtA (UK) of some high priced treasures.

Ah well, they will land, eventually...

-86 is really good so far. The animation is on point along with the story. It's definitely something to look into once there's a media release. 

-Tokyo Revengers is also pretty good. I would suggest looking into that as well.

 

As for Bofuri, I'm on episode 6 and one word of advice is to tell your brain to take a break while watching it 😆.  The plot will give you WTF moments is why lol 😆.  

 

I'm hearing the Demon Slayer movie that just recently came out is really freakin good.

Ta for the heads-up on Bofuri. I figured as much. I'll be purchasing it for my Girls but will give it a spin before I send it.

Same for "Sleepy Princess" which looks too cute for words.

Glad to hear that "86" is ramping up well. It struck me as a bit of twist on "Deca-Dence", story wise, though of course, not the same type show.

Acudama-Drive also looks lit as $hit, so hoping it proves to be worth my time.

There's in fact more GOOD shows than poor shows as of late, so there's no excuse for anyone to say, "ah man, there's nothing to watch"...heh.

Keep me posted on how the shows are faring buddy as time moves on, if ya would please. 🙂

I sure will and you're welcome! 😀 so far, the 7 animes I'm currently following are all pretty good. As mentioned above, I'm really happy three of them which i was following the manga got an adaptation as that is a real treat for me hehehehe. I'll let ya know how they pan out

There's a few from 2020 that I've not yet mentioned, that are due for a Blu release I'm excited for;

- Dorohedoro: (dystopian future with pretty bizarre characters)

- Re:Zero S-2: (so loved S-1, yeah, suffer porn but GOOD suffer porn)

- Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken: (the trials and tribs of 3 girls making an anime, with exceptional artistic viewpoint)

- Jujutsu Kaisen S-1: (this show is LIT! My Grand-Daughter has me checking daily for a release announcement)

- Kaguya Sama S-2: ( I'll take as much Chika as they dish out, heh)

- many more.

I'm also keeping my eyes peeled for Megalobox S-1 and S-2 (Nomad) looks awesome.

As I mentioned prior, there's an incredible bounty of good shows to catch up on and I'm ready to do so.

Yeah, I'm confident that JK will be a "must buy" and will certainly double dip for both me and my lovely Girls.

I suspect we will definitely see a C.E. released, it's just a question of which House(s) will do so.

 

I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying Black Clover. I know it received a LOT of flak over Asta's incessant screaming but later it calms down enough to keep interest.

It's certainly one of my G-D's faves and I've purchased every season (so far) for her.

If you elect to purchase the Blus, be aware that they are releasing full seasons of it in Blu, so don't feel committed to buying the individual partial releases.

I've picked up both S-1 and S-2 complete, so far and suspect S-3 will be released very soon.

I think you will personally be impressed by both Akudama-Drive and possibly Dorohedoro as well, so you may wish to give a couple episodes of those a watch.  😀

Hell, ALL the titles we've discussed (above) are worth a couple episode watches to gauge personal merit.

 

Let me know what ones you fancy my friend as we don't really get much Anime conversation on this site and it would certainly benefit from it.

As I mentioned previously, I have two large boxes in the pipe currently (Sentai & AtA) so I'll be posting pics of those upon landing.

Yeah, Asta’s screaming all the time was a little odd at the beginning but not annoying at all. Now it’s just funny to me. 😅😅

It wasn’t the same case with Zenitsu crying all the time in Demon Slayer. I found that one very very annoying. 😵😵

 

Also yeah, I saw those complete season packages. But I’ll wait for something really special or maybe a Steelbook package. 😬
