This friday (14.06) the Euro 2024 is starting right here in

and since we had so much fun with the World Cup in 2022 and the last Euro in 2021 our good @raylight and myself thought we could organise another Media Psychos Game Challenge ⚽.
 

The Euro 2024 is running from June 14th until July 14th.

 

We have created a online prediction game and invite every Psycho (or up to 300, since that is the limit of allowed players 😅) to compete against each other.

So play the Game with us and become Media Psychos Euro 2024 Champion 😊

 

The Game is available is several languages to make it easier for more Psychos to participate!

Please use your forum name when you register, so that we know who is playing.

What's all about ?

It's soccer time and the Euro 2024 Championship starts on 14.06.2024.

We @MP offer the next event to participate: a tip game for the complete tournament.

 

How do I watch Euro 2024 in the United States?

The full tournament will be broadcast on the FOX family of networks from June 14-July 14, 2024 in Germany.

Registration in tip game

As last time for the world soccer championship, we created a tip game at the well-known page kicktipp.com.

@extantsrevenge Nils already posted the links to the tip game in his post above.

 

Click on the link "become a member".

 

In the next screen enter your email-address, password, verify that you're human and finally click on "register now".

 

 

After registration, don't forget your email/password combination !

 

Tip Game menu

When you successfully logged in, you have different options/functions shown on the left side of the tip game.

 

(1) Leaderboard

The leaderboard gives you an overview about the current and upcoming matches, results and the ranking of the users (leaderboard).

 

(2) General overview

(3) desired outcome

When a match starts, you can work out/calculate how the scoreboard might look like if the match ends with you given result. Some kind of "calculator".

 

(4) prediction centre

This is the main place for the tip game. Here you enter your tips for each match or question in the tip game.

If you're not a "Pro" in soccer, you can also inform yourself about the teams at the official UEFA page:

(4b) tipping with details

In the tip game you also see the bet quotas from "bwin", which is a huge online sport betting platform.

example for first match:

Germany : Scotland

 

quota that Germany wins is: 1.28

Match ends with a draw: 5.75

Scotland will win: 11

 

The lower the quota, the more "realistic" it is that the team wins. This can be used as orientation for your tip.

 

And in the tip game you can also choose "predict with match information" to get extended match infos:

 

a) you can see the last match results of each team:

 

b) you can click on the "arrow button" next to "results" to see the direct comparison where the teams last played against each other:

This is enough help/info to find a personal tip.

In the tip game, all questions have to be answered before the first match (Friday, 14.06.2024, 21:00 CET) starts !

(5) Schedule

The tip game follows the official tournament rules, so the tournament is divided in "Matchdays/Rounds". In the schedule menu, you can see which Matchday is actual running and which matches belong to this matchday/round.

 

 

(6) Table

Following the tournament rules the teams are devided into groups. In the table view you can see which teams are in which group (A to F).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

(7) Game rules

self-explaining. The rules how the tip game works and explained how and when tips have to be done and how they are counted in points.

Short summary:

• tips of all players can only be seens when the match starts. Before, they are hidden.
• we always tip the final result (also after penality)
• tips can be adjusted until the match starts. After that, no changes are possible anymore.
• we play the 2-5 points rule (see detailed examples here: points examples)
  Points are awarded when the tendency is correct. "Points" is reduced by the "Deduction per goal" up to a maximum of "Minimum points" for each wrongly predicted goal of the home and away team.
• All correct answered questions will be counted with 4 points.
  example: "Which team will produce the highest goal scorer?"
