Yes very strange choice, I don't really know if I like this. It is one thing to do a premium without a Disc for something you can easily buy, but a Premium when there is no Disc available 🙄

well this at a new level for manta i heard taking the piss but no discs exist world wide, its like the saying you can't polish a turd  

@extantsrevenge nils i do wonder if mp is genuinely going to run a gb on this particular release bearing mind the only value this can have is unopened ever.

and i dont think how ever much the staff big this up you end up with too many buyers for this particular release, unless we are talked the sealed brigade  

 

suppose you may end with a few people that must have a sealed tin can  

waiting for manta to add in conditions like blufans now must buy this release to get next 3

I'm in, I love this idea. I would love to have a disc release, but if not I'll still enjoy this. It's a great collectible, and the art choices are fantastic!

I'll open it regardless of whether it has discs or not. I look at it as a collectible and something fun to have. And let's face it, half of the people out there wouldn't open it even if they had discs.

As you all comment, a strange decision by Manta.

Maybe they know something that the rest of us don't, or it's just another way to keep selling.

 

I suppose that the OC will not match the size of the rest as it contains only two editions and nothing else, we'll see.

Perhaps the art of the OC would have been better for the steelbook although even so the steel is what I like the most.

 

The back of the DL seems somewhat poor to me, although the idea that the lenticular effect is only for the television screen would be something original.

My preliminary conclusion is to wait and see. I am dubious at best. Cool art but my favorite parts in the series is when reality begins to intrude, not the old television scenes.

 

I really like the OC cover art!

Other Manta Lab release descriptions have called steelbooks "steelcases" though, I think this is probably just a standard steelbook.

They always write steelcase in the description. Everything else says Steelbook. So it will be a Steelbook like always.
