And I'll still be like that until day 5. Without stop. No days, no evenings, no weekends.

I’m with you, haven’t had a day off in weeks (though a couple of the Sundays were only 4-5 hours), been too busy to do much watching *or* socializing online.

 

 I need to look into this bunny thing that starts in March.  Have the emails, haven’t followed the links.

Happy Friday my dudes. I'm in the office there's no management around even the their snitches dubbed the acolytes are absent and the atmosphere is remarkably calm. Part of me is pleased but the other half is cautiously feeling like

From my youth, I assumed this movie was boring Oscar bait, never watched it until I was in my late 30s.  I was so wrong; it’s a freaking entertainment, a really well done one.

A premium of this is a grail for me (something better than HDZ).  The directors cut mediabook isn’t bad for Blu-ray inexpensive watch edition.   
 

Amadeus is a top five all time movie imo.  Far from Oscar bait, it deserved every award and is a nearly perfect movie.  The closest thing to an authentic Shakespearean tragedy we have in cinema.  Milos at his tip top.  (Yes Cuckoo is great but is derivative of Fuller’s Shock Corridor).   Amadeus is truly unique in terms of themes, cinematic structure, music as plot device and character development and the use of in narrative narration.  Fantastic film.  
 

And yes in spite of some of the criticism, I think the DC is better than the theatrical release although I see the points made by those who don’t like it.  
 

Glad we are seeing some movement toward a 4k and hoping for a Citizen Kane style WCL release, or even a Second Sight Hanging Rock style would be great.

For some reason, some of the films that fascinate me the most are about men learning their limitations and watching how they react.

Never seen the theatrical cut of Amadeus, loved the directors cut though. I wish they’d give us the option on future home media releases, I’d love to compare the two.
