Showed up Monday, just picked it up.  Love that they included the marriage portrait.

 

 

 

 

 

Some of the extras on here actually look very cool, if you’re a fan of the Coens.  May have been on earlier releases but the only copy of this one that I may or may not have owned, it may or may not have been copied from a DVD that I may or may not have received in the mail from Netflix.  Were I to have been guilty of such an act, I would probably have only copied the movie and not the extras.

Got a bunch of packages today—all good things!

 

"Silent Running" from Arrow Video. Been wanting this one for awhile, love the artwork. Excited to check out that 4K transfer.

 

"1917" and "Cliffhanger" from Novamedia. Going to pull the 4K disc from the 1917 amaray and slot it nicely into the new slip.

 

"Blood Simple" and "The Straight Story" from KimchiDVD/The On. I've never seen either of these films, so really looking forward to checking them out.

Thank you for posting this; I’m sure they’re covered on this site but I was unfamiliar with Kimchi until you posted this.  They’ve got some really cool stuff!  There’s a lenticular Blood Simple full slip that I’m tempted to buy and put my 4K disc in.

I was torn between that one and the full slip. The lenticular design looks really incredible! The ON Kimchi releases (I think all of them?) have a neat pattern/texturing to the slip that I really enjoy—gives the spines a nice visual uniformity on the shelf.
 

When I saw your Blood Simple post above, it made me want to do the same since this release only came with the standard BD. Good idea on the disc swap!

I’m really curious to see what you think of Blood Simple.  I haven’t watched it in years and hope to pop the new disc in this weekend.   I always loved it; really dark, full of terrible people doing terrible and/or dumb things.  Regular Coen stuff.

Blade Runner 2049 from MAG. Thanks to @Masterblasterand crew for this beautiful release. Really no weakness here: The o ring case, the lentis on the box, and the acrilyc case are all great quality. The extras are also plentiful (I didn't even take a photo of another booklet that was included) and very nice (although I didn't receive the moc blocks for some reason) as you can see from the pics.

In my opinion this is a awesome set for one of my favorite movies of the last 10 years. I would put this a notch below the UHD Club set overall, but I actually prefer the extras on this one slightly more. This will probably be my last BR 2049 purchase. I don't see myself buying the HDZeta lentis or the Film Arena Maniacs box so this is probably it... unless WeET or Manta Lab come up with something special.... No, no this is it I swear!! #Teamopenitup

@ncraft thanks for the comprehensive photo breakdown! I just got my copy as well. Joining the chorus here in giving a huge thanks to the entire Media Psychos staff for the hookup on this. It's such a beautiful release, the acrylic outer case is stunning. The way it catches the light depending on which angle you look at it really commands attention.

Great pics!  Yeah, this is the set that got me running over here to join, as quickly as possible, and I have to say that it had exceeded my enormous expectations.  Amazing.
