WEEK 25 - FOREIGN LANGUAGE (NOT DUBBED LANGUAGES)

 

Thanks for a fun 25th challenge @R1s1ngs0n!  I'm not afraid of little white letters at the bottom of the screen and some of my favorites include:

 

1 - The Most Important Thing: Love (French)

2 - The Wailing (Korean)

3 - Profundo Rosso (Italian)

4 - Whirlpool/Coming of Sin/Vampyres (Spanish)

5 - Rashomon (Japanese)

 

 

As for one I'd love a premium (or even a boutique upgrade 4K/steelbook SOMETHING) is Sergio Martino's Giallo/proto slasher classic TORSO.  I love this film so much.  I may commission a custom poster/steelbook.

I would also love to see a premium for RAW, Julia Ducournau’s first film. As a new filmmaker she has caught my attention with her first two offerings. I can’t wait to see what she brings us after TITANE

awesome selection....The Second Sight Raw limited Edition is pretty nice.....and I definitely am looking forward to Ducournau's next twisted masterpiece.

Sorry, but until such time when it is acceptable to call a movie dubbed in several languages a foreign language film, I cannot accept your answer.

 

However, to show you I’m a good sport, I’m willing to make an exception just for you and allow Europorn to count for this challenge.

So go dig up in these old vhs tapes in your basement for our viewing pleasure.

If you’re unsure of the language ‘spoken’, just put a couple in ye ole’ player and listen carefully: if you hear mainly “oh oui, oh oui, vas-y, vas-y” then it’s a baguette production. If it’s “ja… ja… ja… jaaaaaa!” then it’s a German sausage fest.
