I was not prepared to cry this early in the morning, but holy crap what a wonderful trailer. I lost my dog who I viewed as my daughter for nearly 16 years last month, and letting go was the hardest thing I had to ever do. I am beyond happy that Julia Louis-Dreyfus is doing a film with A24, as she is immensely talented. My only slight gripe is the moderate difficulty in understanding what the bird/Death is saying sometimes. So, I recommend subtitles for the video.

me too lost my american bulldog the day after Christmas and it broke my heart. my mom always called her my daughter and she was a rescue. at the time I wasn't looking for a dog because I had lost my female great dane to old age and that took a lot out of me but a close friend who volunteered at the shelter talked me into coming to see if there was a dog I'd like to give a forever home to. when I got there she was all the way in the back and no names on her slip for anyone interested. nobody wanted her because they all thought she was a pit bull but when I saw her I knew she was the one to take home. truth be told if I had the land money and housing I'd rescue so many more. I have her ashes but I'm still not over it.
