I will hurl money at Miller like that lady in Witches of Eastwick hurled cherries   When he’s good there’s almost nothing better.  But I’m in that group of people who think Babe: Pig in the City is a masterpiece.

Again, I realize most people would rather have something on streaming right away but I wish more event movies would get releases like Oppenheimer and Killers of the Flower Moon did.  Make it an event for people to share at the theater, give it some urgency.  I still love the theater experience and I don’t want it to die for everything but Marvel movies.

 

Having said all that, this very much has a Maverick feel (also got a theater run!) and I’m optimistic.

Same and same.  One of the best talents on film in my humble opinion.  If I’d just seen the trailer without knowing, would never have guessed this was a Garland project.  I’m wondering if, with a movie like this one, we could get a Garland release on IMAX screens.
