I’m cheering for these drivers Ryan Hunter-Reay, Santino Ferrucci, Pato O’Ward, Ed Carpenter, Sting Ray Robb, Conor Daly, Marcus Ericsson, Scott McLaughlin, Josef Newgarden and Alexander Rossi and some more!! 🏎️ 

 

 

 

  

 

The 108th Running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge is scheduled for Sunday, May 26, 2024. The greatest drivers in racing will compete for racing immortality in "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing" at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. 

 

The Indianapolis 500, formally known as the Indianapolis 500-Mile Race, and often called the Indy 500, is an annual automobile race held at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Speedway, Indiana, United States, an enclave suburb of Indianapolis. The event is traditionally held over Memorial Day weekend, usually the last weekend of May. It is contested as part of the IndyCar Series, the top level of American open-wheel car racing, a formula colloquially known as "Indy car racing".

Someday there will be no more June 5th.

 

 

But this happens with artists, with our idols, with our friends, with our family....

 

We have to make the most of what we have.  And take care of them!

You know, just in the last year we’ve had movies from Michael Mann, Hayao Miyazaki, Ridley Scott (with a Gladiator sequel coming soon), Martin Scorsese and George Miller.  I feel lucky that so many of the old masters are still working.  
 

Maybe we’ll get lucky and get more Lynch.  Outer Range definitely has some Lynchian elements, even beyond the central sci fi premise.

In the list of directors the youngest is Spielberg, who will be 78 this year. 

Even Kathryn Bigelow is already 73, 

 

How can we not go to see Coppola's film. How can we renounce the honour of seeing a premiere of his, his, and many of these.

 

Yes, and on the 5th I'll be watching Lynch.

 

And I'll do my bit to make sure that ‘Megalopolis’ is a success, and that the guy from Cahiers du Cinema is right, that it's something big. It's about the film, it's about him, and... it's also about us.

 

It's a world that is ending. A world in which we have been very happy.

 

And the only coherent option is to enjoy it as long as we can while they are still here. Because in just 10 years most of this list will no longer be with us.

 

In the end, it's like good spirits. We will enjoy it drop by drop.

@Casiusco, you are spot on, we are definitely at the end of an era. We lost Akira Toriyama this year as well, which was a big blow as I've watched him do Dr. Slump and Dragon Ball since the 80s.

I had forgot to preorder it, and then time went buy and PO closed and is now outrageouly expensive..
