Fantastic movie, although it didn't get much attention when it was released! Thrilled to hear, that Nova will bring something for it!

Are there any updates for this release? I read somewhere that a steelbook for this edition was supposedly approved in mid-2020. Of course I don't know if that's true.

[NOTICE] Nova Media Launching Plan Information

Dear customers,

Here's a quick guide to the upcoming launch of Nova Media.

- NOVA EXCULSIVE 030 <Dark Waters> schedule.

The pre-order for NOVA EXCULSIVE 030 <Dark Waters> that we announced with <1917> will be held around mid-April.

Steelbook production and disc inspection are under way, and we will notify you of the exact release date later.

- <1917> Plain Edition and 4K+BD Composite Pack to be released

Due to the interest of many people, NOVA EXSCULSIVE 029 <1917> was quickly sold out.

Plain edition and 4K+BD combined packs will be released, and design confirmation has been completed and 4K UHD diskc are being inspected.

We are aiming for pre-order and release in very near future. After checking the final product, we will notify you of the exact release date.

- Regarding the remastering works of director Wong Kar-wai.

We know many people are waiting for director Wong Kar-wai's remastering works. For those of you who are curious, here is the approximate launch plan.

Director Wong Kar-wai's remastering works will be released individually, and the first one will be "In the Mood for Love" Also, it will be released as an exclusive steelbook.

Currently, it is under design confirmation, and future remastering works by Wong Kar-wai's, such as Happy Together and Fallen Angles will be released as exclusive steel books.

When it comes to disc configuration, we've produced Blu-ray discs and UHD discs (including HDR), and there's little difference in quality, so we're going to make it a exclusive steelbook of remastered Blu-ray (1 disc) versions.

(We will announce the quality comparison video later.)

Regarding other package specifications, we will notify you when internal results such as design confirmation are completed.

As nice as steelbooks for Wong Kar-Wai movies are, very disappointed that they decided to skip a 4k HDR release.

A 4k HDR disc with " little difference" to BD? Are you kidding me??

Glad to see there’s some of us excited for Dark Waters. I feel like this will not get quite the glamorous treatment that 1917, but I’m still excited to see what we are going to get.

Perhaps not "1-click" worthy but one I will definitely pick up in one of the Premium eds.

Any info on a group buy for this? I realize probably not going to be hugely popular release, so not sure if interest has to great enough to merit the resources of a group buy.

I mentioned in a different Thread I have plans on grabbing one of the Premium eds for Dark Waters but since Nova is accessible to most folk direct, not sure what the consideration is for a GB.

They are VERY pain-free to deal with.

Thanks! I’ve ordered from Nova direct before and haven’t ever had a bad experience, but I definitely would love the security of a group buy over trying to snag on my own, but definitely not the end of the world if I do!

I've been with Nova since...well, since they've been Nova, I guess and just of note, as you purchase direct, you will accumulate "Points" with them if your purchase is over a dictated amount (last I recall was $50 Usd?).

At this point, I could probably grab a couple 1-clicks for free, as it can build up quickly if you find they carry titles that meet your interest.

I watched the film some time ago. It was a film with an important message, but it is a one time only watch.

I'm not convinced it is worthy of a WEA package. I would have thought a WWA steelbook (if there is one) or a BD Slip Case edition would suffice.

I suspect Nova will be stuck with these for a long time, but fair play to them for trying.

@Veum I know you're a lenti guy, but that FS is damn nice.  I went with the FS, I love the dark tones and mood to the FS.
