This ‘thing’ just arrived and it’s ridiculously huge. So huge, in fact, I’ll probably end up selling it because I just can’t fit it on my shelves. I will manage to make room for my Goodfellas set when it arrives but it will most certainly be the only edition I’ll own from this retailer.

The set itself is very nice, though, and feels very Premium.

I had seen an unboxing video on these editions are few days ago and was shocked at just how oversized these are. I'm still tempted to grab a few though, especially Goodfellas since I missed out on that disc before it went OOP here in the States. I'm going to have to wait until my holiday spending dies down a bit, though... If there are any copies left at the end of the month, I'll try and grab Goodfellas, but then I'll probably have to get YET ANOTHER copy of Blade Runner since that's Vault 001 and Goodfellas is Vault 002. It'll help calm down my OCD a bit...🤣🤣🤣

Luckily for me, my particular brand of OCD doesn’t include ‘spine completism’ so I’m good with having just the one 😆

Didn't have the heart to tell them they had to move out of the spotlight 😅

I must however announce with much regret that my previously touted christmas present for myself fell through 😭 'Tis a sad day!

We must however keep moving, so up up and away!
And we'll be going straight into the skies with WWA steels of Top Gun Maverick ...which I may or may not have gone a little overboard, really though - I have no memory of placing duplicate orders...


Then a little lower again with Highlander, again with WWA steels (more duplicates?!?!?!) and a CE all the way from Zavvi

 

And just for that we'll mix it up a little with steels for:
- X
- Nope
- Men
- Catch Me if You Can
- Bullet Train
and my very first Criterion in the shape of Wall-E - hooray!!

Today's delivery: Blufans: The Dark Knight one click. Thanks to @Masterblasterand grew for the group buy! This is a beautiful edition! 

Now on to the bad news: Part of being on #Teamopenitup is I get to enjoy these releases more than I did when I didn't open them. However, sometimes ignorance can be bliss. The last two pictures in this post are of my single lenti slip, which has swirling scratches all over the slip, and what I can best describe as shoe print like marks near the top of the slip. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of quality control with Blufans. I had slight quality issues with Batman Begins, but it was slight enough to look past. But this is ridiculous. I'm not the only one who has had issues with this release, and issues with Blufans quality control in the last couple of years.

I'm committed to The Dark Knight Rises and the Prestige, but I may not buy another Blufans release after that.

Thanks again to MP and the staff for hosting the GB.  My Manta Suicide Squad was dropped off yesterday.  Another nice addition to my collection.

 

 

Some Shout Factory goodness with Coraline and ParaNorman.  An BB with a poor shipping job with Crisis Core, at least it was not damaged.  Am not completely done with God of War yet, so it will have to sit for a bit.  

 

 

Grabbed a few from the Kino Sale.  Not a huge fan of buying Blu's, but good prices.

Stirred away from collecting for a while, but with the urge of broadening my sense of film, I’ve decided to get back in the game, and what a way to start by introducing myself to the Alien franchise (IK I’m immensely late). 
 

Got this digipack for only about $45 AUD on Ebay which I’m not sure was a great deal or not, since I couldn’t seem to find it anywhere else, I heard it is quite a rare edition, whether if it’s the case or not, I’m still happy I can add this to the collection
