Does anybody have a picture of the hinged box? This is my first wood box so wasn't sure what to expect.

Someone else may have a better shot.  This is BR2049.  Someone will prob chime in that the hinges rattle a little bit, fyi.  No biggie for me.

The bits that rattle are the crescent shaped restrictors … its not a fault as most people think … so not really a problem…

The spine title is centralised

 

And this model of wooden box is smaller than BR series. This series is the same as Kungfu Hustle

I'm ok with this. Is this true for all the other wood boxes that were announced? King Kong, Shawshank, and green mile.

I'm 100% certain that Shawshank will be a hinged wooden box as there have been plenty of pictures to verify this. I believe the Green Mile and King Kong will be hinged boxes as well.

I uh... that is some really jarring and obvious disconnect (black on bottom) between the back/spine and the front when viewed like that 😅
It's probably the same on other edition featuring the same art, but can't say I've noticed it before now.

Yeah, I never noticed either, but I see what you're saying and agree.  The spine looks great, the front looks great, but when viewed at a 45 degrees, it looks unfinished and a bit harsh.  Still a keeper for me, but your point is well made.

Yeah I now what you mean but I'm not really bothered by it, ideally every wood box would have really nice wrap around art like 2049 but that's probably not possible to do while keeping both sides interesting since you'd need a landscape poster

I doubt hoople heads in the saloon would have been quite so quick ‘to clear on out back’ if Will Munny had strode in and started issuing threats while wearing THAT hat.

 

Looks like the sort of head gear someone would wear to sniff wine while seated at an outside table in Provence, rather than while pointing a shotgun at the proprietor of a s**thole.
