Yeah. Been there. I blame bad pre-order pics that don't convey how nice it will be in-hand.

But, if it makes you feel any better- Raro's first release, Devil's Advocate, was very underwhelming. (The Title is even off-center on the spine).

I agree. I was pleased with the original images, but am ecstatic over these new ones!  Can’t wait to see it in person.

.  I will be honest in saying I wasn't really happy with my first set. devils advocate.

Wasn't bad. 

 

Still love it though.            Easily pleased.

FYI devils advocate was actually their third premium release after Omega Man and Elvis.

Looks pretty nice overall. Great lenticular on the box and nice embossing on the box and slips. Still some room for improvement, but it's nice to see that Raro is increasing quality with every release.

Enough bubble wrap and shipping box had no damage at all. Believe me, as soon as you take off the wrap a tear or two will fall from your cheek. One from crying and one from laughing your assish off. It's that bad

@larson1977 since you did not order from MP we can't help you. Several members who joined our GB had dinged/creased outer OC boxes as well, and we'll be getting replacements for them.

@deckard99 Is that still an option? I didn't take pics and send them since I figured with so many that had creases it was probably on all of them. I haven't opened it yet so not sure bout the inside contents either.

We are in constant communication with RARO who have been very cooperative and eager to help.  They’ve also assured us that future releases are of a higher quality.

Just opened the entire box set.... its not getting better there. I would recommended all buyers to open this edition and check content on damages (dents, tears, folders abd movies that are impossible to get out of their slips).

I, too, am done with RARO. I am convinced that the low printrun is because you can only make so many of these, with two guys in a basement!

It should be worth no more than $100 (We paid $350+).

I was hoping the subpar job on DEVIL'S ADVOCATE was just growing pains. It isn't. This is just a case (my opinion, of course) of repackaging existing materials (the aforementioned 9.99 amarays) as cheaply as possible- and selling them as premium editions.

In all my years of collecting- this is easily the biggest waste of money I have ever experienced.
