For work reasons, I haven't been to the movies for several weeks. Normally, if work allows me, I go once or twice a week. It's a personal pleasure that I greatly appreciate. I love the ritual of the dark room, of watching a movie in a public place where a group of strangers open their eyes and close their mouths. And I say this because I try to go when not many people open it.

 

And I miss it.

 

It's one of the best things you can do when you have free time.

 

Both to enjoy what one expects with emotion, and to risk something new or different.

 

Let yourself be thrashed a bit.

 

Or just enjoy.

I love the cinematic experience. The time   I get to share with others. Only go once every few months when  Those silly blockbusters release. Laugh, shout, cry.

           It definitely can be an expensive endeavor with all the snacks drinks and whatnot. I like to support my local theater.  That's how they make there butter,  oh I mean money. 😏

I too like to support my local theater.  Planning on going Sunday with someone and hoping to see either Black Atom or Black Panther 2.  Depending on what is showing.

That's what it's all about, living an experience, not just seeing something, and also supporting our local theathers.

 

Sometimes I go to the typical big, modern theathers, with all the comforts; but sometimes I also go to small theaters, not so trendy, that make a huge effort and risk their money to bring movies that the big theaters don't. I love to see that they are still open, and that people still have their jobs there. Putting all their love into let us having a good time, laughing, shouting, or discovering something,

 

Thanks to them we have more experiences. More afternoons or nights of sitting in the dark in a public room and letting ourselves go.

 

I will be back soon. Or so I hope.
