I can’t remember, what I do remember though is that once I got my Membership, my name jumped high on a few group buys I was apart of after being low on the list.

I think your position is only going to change in currently open GBs and you’ll need to inform the specific GB master of your status change. 

But as I’m far from being a GB expert and like you, only just recently purchased a Gold membership, it might be best to tag someone more knowledgable, like @deckard99 perhaps.
